CFB Wainwright is one of the larger bases in Canada, and used to train troops for combat operations (including live-fire exercises)
Today Alberta also had extreme wind conditions, over 100 km/hr (60 mph), which toppled trees in some areas
“The incident occurred just days before people in Alberta, home to the world’s fourth-largest proven oil reserves, will vote in the October 19 referendum on whether the province wants to begin the process of separating from the rest of Canada.”

Global News is reporting per multiple Canadian Armed Forces sources that artillery hit a gas well or pipeline, which blew up and started a gigantic fire which has now spread.

Considering how anti-Carney this province is right now, I cannot help but wonder if this was some Reichstag fire event Carney is trying to use for a totalitarian styled crackdown.

I thought it was something serious, like finding a gun there.
The base is about 150 miles ESE of Edmonton.
