Ex-special counsel Jack Smith obtained personal information on 639,000 Republican donors, voters and supporters — including some who contributed as little as $1 or bought “red MAGA hats” — according to subpoena returns obtained by a Senate Republican committee.
In a Wednesday memo, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) disclosed the details of data Smith’s office received, denouncing the former prosecutor of President Trump for “abuse of authority.”
More than 148,000 rows on spreadsheets containing the findings, including donors from 2005 to 2021.
Dates of birth, home addresses, email addresses, Republican party registration, information about credit cards or employment history were also hoovered up.
“This update shows that Jack Smith and the Biden Justice Department collected incredibly invasive donor data — and voter data — beyond what could conceivably be necessary for Smith or his team to fulfill the Special Counsel’s mandate,” Grassley wrote in the memo.
“The new findings further corroborate that Smith and his partisan team aimed to map out the entire Republican Party apparatus,” he added.
That included names of Republican campaign aides and volunteers, as well as party donors who contributed anywhere between $1 and $1,000.
Information on red Make America Great Again hats was also shared, including the buyers’ names and home addresses.
Smith’s office further collected 2024 “Trump campaign products including these red hats, t-shirts, mugs, and door mats,” the memo noted.

Went to the FR rally in DC back in the day. Someone with a clipboard was walking around asking for signatures. Creepy.
He can’t be prosecuted but he can be disbarred.
There’s not a hole deep enough to bury this maggot in.
How many believe his name is really, “Jack Smith”?
Seems as though we would have legal recourse for Smith’s actions. I am, no doubt, one of the aggrieved parties by virtue of my contribution$.
massive abuse of power, this guy was totally out of control. He needs to pay for what he did.
Good grief - Jack Smith and his team treated the entire conservative movement as an organized crime syndicate. He used the same tactics the DOJ has used against the Gambinos and other mafia families, but this time he targeted ordinary innocent Americans. This is a huge misuse of power and must be addressed in the criminal courts. Our freedom is at stake and it is not an overstatement to say so.
Whooo hoot, I’m on another list! Bought 2 MAGA hats, teeheehee.
Probably sent the names to the irs
I figure I’ve been on a list just for being here for at least 20 years.
I believe that’s his real name, and that his middle name is Off.
And yet the A-Hole elite democrats in DC wonder why we don't talk to 'pollsters'...
Biden was a totalitarian thug...same as most people in his administration.
Time to file a class action lawsuit. I’m sure I’m on the list.
“the A-Hole elite democrats in DC wonder why we don’t talk to ‘pollsters’...”
Great post.
We know they are spying on us. They know we know they are spying on us....
But—they lie about it anyway attempting to humiliate us.
See my post #16. I’m in.
But the real threat is from FLOK cameras.
Do not belittle the significance of wall-to-wall surveillance. Donald Trump will not be in the Oval Office forever. And the Republican Party at least as it is in Washington DC will do nothing to defend you when the Democrats come for you because of your internet posts
Without Donald Trump we are a great deal closer to what is going on in Great Britain than most people would imagine
I was at a couple of FR rallies. At one, there was a petition to get Alan (somebody, durn memory) on a ballot being passed around. He was pretty conservative (IIRC) and had some supporters in the crowd. I don’t think it was anything worse than that.
