The suspect charged in the double shooting at Eden Prairie High School’s homecoming football game on Oct. 2 has been released from custody, while four others have been charged and are wanted on warrants in connection to the incident.

The suspected shooter, Adam Abdihakeem Adam, 18, of St. Louis Park was arrested on Thursday and charged last Friday with two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of second-degree riot while armed with a dangerous weapon.

Despite living in public housing owned by the City of St. Louis Park, Adam managed to post a $100,000 bond, as well as hire a private attorney before being released from custody with no conditions on Saturday.

The following four additional suspects have been charged with third-degree riot in connection with the incident and are wanted on warrants:

Abdirahman Ahmed Jama, 18, of Bloomington

Musab Ibrahim Aden, 18, of St. Paul

Omar Adan Abdullahi, 19, of Burnsville

Mahamed Ali Haji, 20, of Savage

The charges state that Musab Aden and a juvenile described only by the initials K.A.A. were two of several people ejected from the Aerie Stadium property after police responded to a fight and parties throwing gang signs during the homecoming game.

As Aden and K.A.A. were leaving, Adam pulled up in a vehicle along with four others who were in a separate vehicle. A fight ensued between the four parties from the vehicle and Aden and K.A.A. That’s when Adam returned to his vehicle, produced a gun and fired shots. Both Aden and K.A.A. were shot; prior police statements described their injuries as not life-threatening.

The charging documents say that “all participants of the fight and gunshot are believed to be associated with gangs.”

Also, according to the charging documents, Abdirahman Jama lives in Bloomington at the same location where nearly 100 rounds were fired in a shootout on Monday night, Oct. 5, on the 101st block of Harriet Avenue.

A separate Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) warrant for Jama filed by the City of Bloomington describes the shootout on Harriet Avenue and names Jama being present, as well as Mahamed Haji and Omar Abdullahi.

The court filing says Jama, Haji, and Abdullahi had been playing basketball in Minneapolis and then returned to Jama’s residence on Harriet Avenue.

Multiple unknown suspects approached from the north, discharging firearms at Jama. The vehicle Jama was traveling in was struck multiple times by gunfire in various locations, including the windshield and front headlight.

Police interviewed Jama, Haji, and Abdullahi, but they remained vague with the information they gave to law enforcement, clearly trying to obscure the underlying issues that had led to the evening events, the filing states.

At least two of the three parties have been involved in “East African gang activity” and have some involvement in other shootings and weapons related offenses, the ERPO warrant states.

The ERPO describes Jama as a threat to public safety.

I used to live in Eden Prairie many decades ago.
Like much of the Minneapolis suburbs, they are no longer safe places.

We frequently referred to “Prestigious West Bloomington” to identify well off communities.
No longer “Prestigious” as of 20 years ago.

Adam Abdihakeem Adam

What is it about Somali’s where they will have the same name twice..by the way this is the dreck Obama imported to make sure Minnesota never became Republican..and with Somali fraud, they give Dems campaign money and in return, Dems turn a blind eye to the fraud, so both sides scratch each other

Somali shooting suspect, Adam Abdihakeem Adam, 18,
was arrested on Thursday and charged with:
<>two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon
<>one count of second-degree riot while armed with a dangerous weapon.

Despite living in public housing for the poor, Somali Adam managed to post a $100,000 bond, and even hire a pricey private attorney before being released from l/e custody with NO conditions on Saturday.

Did the Somali falsify official documents, and lie about his
financial situation to obtain housing meant for the poor?

Don’t be absurd. Somalis never lie nor do they ever fudge their financial situation. /s

But being how this is being described as gang shooting, (but don’t call it a Somali gang shooting) perhaps the lad is engaged in a lucrative cash-only business that for legal reasons can’t be reported or acknowledged.

“Somali Adam managed to post a $100,000 bond”

Perp had more people to shoot so the judge granted him bond.
