A ship has been struck in the Strait of Hormuz nearly every day this month, according to the International Maritime Organization.
Between Oct. 1 and Tuesday, nine ships – mostly crude oil tankers – were struck in the Strait of Hormuz or off the coast of Oman, according to the IMO. Two additional ships were hit since, with one struck on Wednesday and another struck on Friday, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations.
Wednesday’s attack was on an unnamed tanker off the coast of Madinat ash Shamal, Qatar, in the Persian Gulf. Friday’s attack was on an unnamed vessel off the coast of Al Jazeera, United Arab Emirates, according to the UKMTO advisories.
Between Sept. 28 and Wednesday, there were 12 attacks, the highest weekly total since the war between the U.S. and Iran began***.
Both Iran and the U.S. have attacked ships as part of the ongoing conflict. The U.S. has struck ships that the Pentagon says violated its blockade or are sustaining Iran’s war effort. While a recent U.S. Central Command news release said the U.S. disabled 13 ships as part of its blockade and strikes, the U.S. did not list what ships it hit.
Although attacks on vessels are rising, so are the number of transits week-over-week, with Middle East crude exports approaching pre-war levels, Meade said.
There were 143 total transits between Sept. 28 and Wednesday, up three over the previous week, according to Lloyd’s List Intelligence data. Eastbound transits in that period rose by 7.1 percent, while westbound transits dropped 4.2 percent.
Tanker and gas carrier transits were also down 10.2 percent over the same period.

If they’re trying to influence our elections, Trump should wait until the day after the election and do a complete regime change. Make it to where none of them are left.
I don't believe we have the staying power or the ruthlessness anymore to actually accomplish regime change especially when dealing with religious zealots like in Iran.
The War in Afghanistan (2001–2021) is officially recognized as the longest major war in American history, lasting nearly 20 years
This could be accomplished without putting anyone on the ground.
President Trump is restraining any action to help with the midterms. He has indicated all hell will break loose after the election.
Win or Lose. .
Cut loose on them after the election and end it quickly.
They are in big trouble because their moon god hasn’t saved them.
Their moon god and hatred is all they have to run the country.
Don't think its possible to do a regime change without boots on the ground.
Independent security analysts, including the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), estimate Iran's core, highly dedicated irregular and proxy forces at 350,000 to over 400,000 "hardcore" fighters. This does not include Iran's 350,000 regular army conscripts or millions of casual domestic volunteers
“a growing backlog of aging tonnage that is expected to head for the breaking yards in the coming years. Included in the backlog are hundreds of tankers operating in the so-called dark fleet”
https://shipbreakingplatform.org/platform-publishes-list-2025/
There are hundreds of tankers of little value available for Strait transit use. These tankers might proceed to India, which is a short trip away. The oil can be shipped on from India as Russian oil has been.
The world uses about 70 million barrels of oil a day. At a $30 premium to pre-war pricing, that means it would cost the world $2.1 billion a day to allow Iran to block the Strait.
Iran may be able to sink a few tankers before the US Navy eliminates foolhardy Iranian boaters, but the loss of say $500 million of old tankers and the oil put in them is tiny compared to $2.1 billion/day, $15 billion/week, and $65 billion/month.
A regime change happened in Venezuela without “boots on the ground”.
It may be that “boots on the ground” will be necessary in Iran, but it may be the “boots on the ground” will not be American boots.
The regime change in Libya (which I think was a disaster) was accomplished without American “boots on the ground”.
About a year ago, I proposed an inverted-U shell ship to shield ships passing by Houthi missile batteries.
A missile or torpedo would strike a metal plate of the inverted-U shell ship. Any hole could easily be fixed up by bolting another plate to cover the hole.
Another possibility I suggested about two months ago was to sail a cheap, old protective ship in parallel to and north of the ship to be protected. This ship could be given more bulkheads so it can take more hits.
A third possibility would be to weld (or bolt) vertical protective plates to horizontal spacers welded (or bolted) to a Strait transit tanker. The oil can be transferred in the Indian Ocean to China/EU-bound tankers as Iran did near Malaysia.
Iran is fundamentally comprised of Islamic Shia goat herders waiting for their god to snatch them up. Unfortunately their god has a lot of perverted stipulations to be worthy of being lifted up. Tehran is an insignificant materialists entity where most of the population, especially males, could care less about. There are small pockets of populated density dotted all over Iran. People think Tehran or bust but the makeup is not like that. A lot of localized societies run on individual generators/confined power structures and not reliant on power grids at all. A large size of the population are used to living off the land and are well armed to boot.
Sure, we arrested the president so the vice president Delcy Rodríguez took over. Not exactly a complete regime change with the Chavista's still in power. Still to be seen whether free elections will actually take place.
Opposition figures like María Corina Machado and international observers have raised concerns that the core authoritarian structures of the Chavista apparatus remain intact despite Maduro's absence.
You seem to take a lot of joy in posting this crap.
Why is that?

That is an interesting site. Thank you for sharing it.
Too bad we got rid of the battleships. They could take a liken and throw 2,000 lb shells 26 miles with pinpoint accuracy using analog computers.
Many trolls=desperate Islamocommies(formerly democrat party)
I bet US military attacks before the midterms.
Most blue states have their mail in ballots counted before the election and if they need more time after the election, they are obviously committing FRAUD.
The votes coming on election day are usually anti-Islamocommie. They have a certain amount of time off work to vote or they vote after work or before work.
The days when our shipyards were humming. I remember going on board the USS North Carolina (BB-55) with my father. He pointed to a few 5/38s and said that small area on the Carolina encompassed the main armament of the Fletcher Class destroyer that he served on. Amazing stuff.
if it could, it would have been done in March/April when Trump was claiming it as the sole mission objective.
Fact it, unless we wipe everyone out with nukes, it is impossible to effect regime change without a ground invasion of some sort.
