Idaho voters will be able to cast a vote for one of six guns on Election Day, and the votes will serve an “advisory” role to guide the legislature in choosing the official gun of Idaho.
Idaho News 6 reported:
The six options include Western-style weapons that gained fame during pioneer days, such as the 1873 Single Action Army Revolver Colt .45, the Winchester Model 1894 (.30-30), and the Winchester Model 1873, known as the “Gun That Won the West.” The list also includes weapons with military heritage, like the M1 Garand and the Colt Model 1911 .45. The sixth option is the Remington 700 Bolt Action 30-06.

Idaho needs an official handgun, rifle and shotgun.....
Has to be Potato Gun.
Nothing else will do.
I’m voting for the 1873. Load on Monday shoot all week.
Do all residents get one from the state? 🤔🙄👍🇺🇸
if it was up to me i’d have pick HK G11, that’s my all time holy grail.
maybe some day in the very near future i can print one
I used to have a T-shirt that read:
Idaho
The Big
Potato
Ask Kyle. AR-15.
Excellent!
They need an official gun to round up potatoes?
Spuds is like herding cats. It ain’t easy.
My tentative inclination is to vote for the Colt 1911 as its use spans several wars over more than a century. It's still a popular gun today.
HK MP5
Those potatoes don’t willingly get into those bunker facilities by themselves.
M1 Garand...
The official gun of NJ and CA can be the single-shot cap pistol.
Remington 700 Bolt Action 30-06....my hunting rifle for years.
