More than 600 migrants arrived in small boats in a 24-hour period this week, data has revealed. It happened on Monday, with 418 coming ashore the day before and 338 on Tuesday. Eight vessels arrived on Monday, and five on the days either side. The figures on the Government's website are taken from provisional UK and French operational data and are subject to change. "The small boat arrivals figures may differ from figures published in the final official statistics on Immigration system statistics under the topic 'How many people come to the UK via illegal entry routes?', which will have undergone a more thorough quality assurance process," officials say.
"The quarterly Immigration system statistics release presents final and authoritative statistics on small boat arrivals," the Government adds. "A ‘small boat’ is one of a number of vessels used by individuals who cross the English Channel, with the aim of gaining entry to the UK without a visa or permission to enter – either directly by landing in the UK or having been intercepted at sea by the authorities and brought ashore.
"The most common small vessels detected making these types of crossings are rigid-hulled inflatable boats (RHIBs), dinghies and kayaks."

Just how accurate these “migrant” landing numbers? Because I would think there’d be landings where no official is standing by with a clipboard.

It’s a money thing. They are getting paid and they don’t want to get fired. It was the same for the German people in the first half of the last century. They were just following orders. I lived in Germany in the early 1960’s in a tiny German village and the German people were polite and very friendly and kind but 20 years earlier they were moving Jewish people into concentration camps. The British police are probably thinking it’s not so bad to have the swarthy new neighbors.
I believe our Democrats feel the same way about immigrants. They are willing to give up a few square miles of one state or another to get votes but they aren’t really thinking long term. Since they don’t have a lot of descendants, they don’t care what happens to other people’s children after they die.
Too late, largely disarmed, too many cops and government of the Islamist side. Etc.
Is France providing them with free boats?

Police are a hierarchy, they just follow orders.
The same Paris police that was rounding up jews, arresting Resistance, helping the Germans, protecting Vichy politicians; after Paris was liberated those same police were arresting collaborators, rounding up vichy politicians, supervising the head-shaving of prostitutes... etc
