Donald Trump faced embarrassment after a live TV broadcast revealed the sparse attendance at his recent rally despite his boasts that it was sold out.
The 80-year-old president traveled to San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday night, continuing his nationwide campaign tour before November's midterm elections.
The fake news will take a picture of two empty seats, and they'll say, 'Trump did not fill up.' Who the hell fills up an arena like this for a midterm?"

You'll see the 2nd photo, which looks like just before any other rally. Trump is not in that photo, which indicates this is maybe 30-45 minutes before rally starts.
Now, go to the video further down and Trump mocks these liars.
Trump is being sarcastic and implying the arena full when he says "Who the hell fills up an arena like this for a midterm?"

They do this at other events. They’ll take a very wide shot of crowds to say Republicans didn’t show in big numbers while showing tight shots of the 12 Democrats there and claim it’s thousands.
Consider the source always when a negative article on President Trump is published. Our great President always sells out seats on a rally.

It always takes a villege even when they are not up front wioth the public. Thjis article is a spin on the truth.
A sell-out means the total inventory of tickets made available for that specific event has reached zero. It does not always mean 100% of the arena’s maximum physical capacity was utilized. Venues and event promoters routinely hold back blocks of seats—sometimes up to 10% to 20% of the house—for stage production lines, sound equipment, artist comps, or VIP guests. If these aren’t needed, they might be released late (”production drops”), or kept empty.
And sometimes seats are not good for selling because of problems seeing or services tht can be rendered to others. Arenas change capacity based on the event. A concert stage might block off the entire back half of the bowl, meaning “sold out” applies only to the reduced, configured capacity rather than a full sports setup.
A sold-out event frequently has empty seats in the stands. This happens because ticket holders fail to show up, or because scalpers and secondary-market brokers hold unsold inventory that failed to flip before the show started or the seats were purhased by people trying to crate the illusion of lack of sales.
So which venue are the writers using? I think whichever they can use to cover their agenda. As for stopping his speech at the sign of disruption, even a experienced combat soldier jumps at a sound at the wrong time.
