A beloved bronze statue of explorer Matthew Flinders has been cut down and stolen from a Mornington Peninsula park, leaving locals furious.
The bronze statue at the entrance to Mornington Park was cut off at the ankles on Monday night in an attack similar to several others carried out by far-left extremist anti-Australian vandals in Melbourne in recent years.
“It is with great sadness to announce that the Matthew Flinders bronze statue in Mornington, Victoria, has been destroyed by mindless, uneducated cancel culture vandals. I can’t begin to describe how angry this makes me feel right now,” one local said in a Facebook group dedicated to the great explorer.
Others pointed out the statue was located a short distance from the local police station and blamed the soft-on-crime Labor government, while another wrote “immigration kills culture”.

Australia will never be free as long as there are still White men living there and in charge. Only China can take over and repair the racial imbalance.
They will face little resistance if they promise to not raise taxes.
The country should be in parenthesis at the end of the title so that we will know that these headlines that sound local are from foreign countries.
Posters post thread titles that sound like ordinary local daily stories but they turn out to be from far away exotic foreign places like the Middle East, or Britain, or Australia.
It was probabily cut down for the bronze, worth tens of thousands of dollars. AA bronze statue of a horse in Sacramento was cut down and stolen this week,news said it was worth $80,000 in bronze, wonder if connected.
There was a post a few days ago featuring award-winning photos of dogs. They were great. Being retired and with time on my hands I followed the link to the Australian photography website that posted the photos.
At the bottom of the page was what amounted to a ‘stolen land’ acknowledgment and how much all Australians owed to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their elders and wisdom. The woke is very strong with some of them.
That is on every Australian website. I think it is a law.
