President Donald Trump weighed in on France's ongoing school protest controversy on Tuesday, saying that the unrest reflected broader concerns about immigration and integration in the country.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: "What's happening in France is nothing less than out of control mass migration. This isn't about schools, this is about Islam wanting to take over a once great Country!"
The president's remarks came as protests and political debate continue in France over education and immigration-related issues, with the dispute drawing international attention and fueling broader arguments about migration policy in Europe.
Trump has frequently criticized immigration policies in European countries and has warned that large-scale migration poses cultural and security challenges. His latest remarks add to an already heated debate in France, where government officials and political parties remain divided over how to respond to public concerns about immigration, integration and national identity.
Newsweek has reached out to the State Department and the French Embassy in Washington for comment on Trump's remarks and the ongoing protests.

Yo, Newsweak, I have an idea. Why don't you actually look into what's going on in France. Yeah, yeah, I know, that's just crazy talk.
“ Newsweek has reached out to the State Department and the French Embassy in Washington for comment on Trump’s remarks and the ongoing protests.”
Does Newsweek care to comment on the ‘protests’ themselves?
No information. Just “what is Trump saying wrong, this time”, and will the State Department finally remove him from office and can the French embassy help
Yes, Newsweak should reach out to victims of Islam, invaders and enemies within the French republic.
Modern “journalism” has devolved into stenography and progressive political activism. 🙄
But that would require a Newsweak person to actually put clothes on over his or her
jammies and actually go outside and actually do reporting type stuff.
He is literally NOT wrong.
Question: Why does USA-FRANCE never comment on the reconquista of his nation by the Muslims? He only lectures us on why we need to fight Russia.!?!
Taking over America too. We need to ban all immigration from muslims and get rid as many as we can legally
and then move on to removing them by any means necessary (if being nice doesn’t work)
Say a hearty good bye to Notre Dame and the Louvre.
Good thing the good guys won WW2.
Newsweak printed this?
That is the only shocking to see here.
Who on earth have said that “we must fight” Russia if the West is not attacked??
The Neo Soviet Kremlin regime and its close Islamic Chechen and Iranian and Communist North Korean troops and allies are right now attacking Europe though…
Thus NATO is DEFENDING NATO countries. Period.
You have a problem with that ?
And the EU is continuing to defend Christian Ukraine with billions of Euros to preserve it from the ongoing Globo-Islamo-NeoSoviet-Commie-Alliance’s invasion of Ukraine.
Russia’s extremely close collaboration with Islam and communist nations shall not be appeased. Christianity must win.
Heard this today from a smart European:
Europe has subcontracted security to America. Its economy to China. Energy to Russia and its labor force to the Islamists.
This model now has completely collapsed.— Mark Dubowitz (@mdubowitz) October 6, 2026
My guess (and it’s just a guess) is that he’s a Ukrainian living in France.
And while the decimation of USAID has significantly reduced the UkeSpam on here (thank goodness!), there is probably still a handful of NGOs funding Uke/Rus propaganda.
The President often remarks off the cuff and is sometimes wrong. This instance he is NOT.
A very accurate assessment….
