„Turning into second Ukraine.” Medvedev threatens and accuses another country

On Sunday, 4 October, Dmitry Medvedev threatened Armenia, saying that it “could transform into a second Ukraine”. This refers to the Armenians’ aspirations for closer ties with the European Union, which do not please Russia, as it wishes to keep Armenia within its sphere of influence.

On Sunday, 4 October, Dmitry Medvedev gave an interview to Iranian state television. In it, he stated that the West is testing the “strength of the relationship” connecting Armenia and Russia, warning Yerevan against changing its political course.

“The current Armenian authorities have decided to change direction. I am certain that this will not lead to anything good. The worst thing that could happen to Armenia is its transformation into a second Ukraine,” Medvedev announced.

The former Russian president was referring to changes in Armenia’s foreign policy, which formally began the process of integration with the European Union in 2025, intended to culminate in future membership of the organisation’s structures. Previously, the country also accepted an EU monitoring mission on its border and strengthened its relations with the USA.

Maybe this fool should finish the job on the Ukraine before issuing more threats. Oh wait, there’s nothing left to attack Armenia with. Never mind.

No, you don't get it. They're floundering in Ukraine for years and years because they're secretly holding back.

LOL, EVERY country that has a choice would rather join the wealthy EU vs the poorer Russia where 20% of households still have to go outside to take a dump.

But somehow that's a "Neocon Project". Okay

Right, because what Armenian in his right mind would prefer to be linked to the prosperous west rather than with a dying Russia that abandoned them during the war with Azerbaijan? That would make no sense, right? Right?

They seem to think that Armenians would rather wind up like Ukraine or France, rather than go its own way. Oh well, nothing we can do if they join Ukraine in drinking the Kool-Aid (thank goodness Georgia came to its senses and avoided that nightmare).

Israel has already been supporting Muslim Azerbaijan against Christian Armenia.

So by that standard, Israel is already behaving worse than Turkey.

Israeli arms quietly helped Azerbaijan retake Nagorno-Karabakh, to the dismay of region’s Armenians.

Armenia will outlive Russia. Sorry. Russia is toast. A very bad-tasting toast.

Can you explain to the world what Russia has that makes it desirable over Ukraine or any country in Europe, or any other place? Try to find a new hobby; Russia is no more.

Oil. Lots and lots of stuff to mine. Russia is a treasure trove of minerals. Hard to get at and the Russian govt has never been good at it. But still there are a lot of valuable resources in Russia.
