A New York Times tech executive who was allegedly shot dead by his elderly in-laws in California was in a vicious war with them and his estranged wife for being transgender, according to court documents.
Jonathan McKinsey’s wife, Candice Jang, filed for a restraining order against him in 2025, and he replied by filing a restraining order of his own.

And now the rest of the story comes out. Saw this headline earlier of Asian in-laws unloading their guns on the guy with no other details. We were all trying to figure out what would cause a couple in their 70s to do this. Now it adds up.
This is just too weird. I don’t even want to try to understand it.
The “husband” that was killed is really a woman who transitioned to a man. Got a mastectomy. Went all the way.
