No Matter How High the Gas Prices, I Won’t Let Communists Win

Yes, the gas prices are high, but I live in California, where gas prices are always going to be higher than in the rest of the country. I don't blame President Trump, nor do I blame the conflict in Iran. If Iran wasn't trying to blow us up in a nuclear holocaust, then there would have been no reason for the United States to attack them! California shut down two refineries, and they add taxes and fees on top of more taxes and fees. Don’t scream at Trump, blue state residents. Blame your own incompetent state governments!

Am I happy about the inflation? No. Three percent inflation is bad. This is a problem of federal overspending, and I don't think that President Trump's $5,000 dividend proposal is any good. If he's joking, it's still not a great idea. There’s a better way to give us money: let us keep what we already earn. Congress can cut a trillion and a half out of the budget, and then give all of the taxpaying Americans a $5,000 rebate from our 2026 tax returns.

Affordability, housing costs, wars and rumors of wars: the doomers, the blackpillers, the corporate media, the Democrats and their academic acolytes, all want us to focus on what is wrong or bad. They want their communist pals to get elected up and down the ticket this November.

We must not let some setbacks distract us from the great work that Trump and team have accomplished.

President Trump is doing so much good that I can let the little stuff go. The fact that we have illegal aliens fleeing our country, that visa overstays are getting kicked out, that immigrants who came in legally but caused nothing but trouble are being deported as well, and the fact that President Trump is standing tall and fighting for America makes me so proud to support him and the Republican ticket going into Election 2026.

I'm sick and tired of listening to Americans b***h and moan about how much the gas is. Maybe they should talk to someone who drove their first car in the 1970s, when the OPEC-driven gas shortages were so acute that people could only go to gas stations depending on certain days and whether they had a number or a letter at the end of their license plate. President Trump has been playing 4-D chess when it comes to ensuring energy dominance and stability, protecting American prestige, securing our interests, and advancing our future. Trump took out Venezuelan narco-dictator Nicolas Maduro, then scored an excellent oil deal with the new leadership of the Latin American Communist hellhole, soon to be freed to a republic once again. Trump has put Cuba on its heels and forced it to its knees. Mexico is no longer bailing out bad actors in the Caribbean and helping us defeat the drug cartels, too.

President Trump gave a great presentation of American greatness at the UN last week. I normally don't watch the UN speeches, but I listened to everything he said on September 23, 2026, and I applaud everything. He stood up to Iran — to its face; he denounced Cuba, and the communist delegation saved face by walking out in shame; he stood up for American sovereignty once again, and he asserted clearly that there is no right to illegal immigration, but there is a right for nations to assert their sovereignty.

I voted for all of this. I loved that he’s doubling down on why we elected him in 2024, and he’s not allowing some bad polling or nasty press to stop him from doing what is best.

The general public, including the conservative commentary class, is not paying enough attention to the massive rightward shift overtaking Latin America. For the first time in decades, the American President enjoys considerable, consummate allies at the UN from throughout the Americas. From Argentina to Ecuador, and now including a traditional Catholic president of Colombia openly allying with us and fighting transnational drug cartels, we have allies helping us in our fight to protect our country, and you can bet your bottom dollar (or peso) that they're stopping the flow of mass immigration to our country. Canada is the only country not getting along with us right now, but that will change soon.

Look at the major win that President Trump scored with Greenland! We get all of the power, we get to call the shots, we get to maintain our military presence, and we cut off hostile nations both to the west and to the NATO alliance. That means China and Russia don't get to call dibs or take advantage of the mineral deposits in Greenland. Frankly, I would have had no problem incorporating that massive territory into the American sphere as a commonwealth along with Puerto Rico or Guam. But President Trump is making the best deals to do what will serve our country for the long term.

Also at the UN, the conservative president of Paraguay, after ending sex mutilation of minors in his country, declared that Latin America must stop depending on the United States to do all the work for them. Have we not been praying for this day? The whole world has viewed the United States as the Battered Women's Shelter of the World or the Backup Plan for every failed State and for the voters in these countries who insisted on voting for those failed politicians. Sovereign countries around the world are taking responsibility for their defense, their sovereignty, their culture, and their future. WINNING!

I voted for all of this. No matter the domestic disturbances or disappointments that we face stateside, we should not ignore the fact that Trump 2.0 far exceeds not just his first term, but the terms of all the Republican and certainly Democratic presidents who have governed our country since the end of World War II.

Because of this incredible success at the domestic level, the cleaning out of the federal government, the ending of mass immigration, the increase in respect and sovereignty for our country, plus the fact that wages are rising and poverty has plummeted across the nation, I have no problem voting for the Republican ticket up and down the ballot.

We shouldn't just be motivated by what makes us glad, but we need to pay attention to what we're running against. From a twinky, flimsy, fake Christian playing pastor running against an effective attorney general in Texas, to an accomplished former congressman running against a pro-jihad militant in Michigan, we've got crazy Communists gunning for power all over the country. I don't care how high your gas bills may be; it will be nothing compared to the energy crisis and domestic destruction if communist Democrats take the levers of power in Congress and in state legislatures across the country.

Don’t worry about high gas prices now. The war will end. Right now, we must choose American success and continued sovereignty, or communist failure. Election 2026 is the most important election yet. Don’t sit out the vote and pout. Trump is doing great, and our country is improving. I'm going to make phone calls for candidates in California and abroad. You should as well.

What I find most objectionable is that certain consumer products have not increased that much in price, while others have apparently gone hog wild with “inflation”. Not understanding this at all as often it is applying to very necessary commodities.. I would think that the super high prices would have slowed business enough to force a change.

You can have high gas prices for your car until the way the world gets oil changes (which is what is literally what is going on right now, and will dramatically decrease Middle East influence on oil markets) - or you can have permanently high gas prices until the Socialists figure out how to take your car - you will have nothing and like it.

And people around here act like that’s not the real choice.

It’s actually not that surprising. But it’s for reasons most people don’t think through. Beef prices have shot up due to historically low herd sizes *and* screw worm crossed the border. That’s not helping with getting herd sizes back up.

People also don’t have a clue where their money goes. Everyone here in Virginia complains gas is a buck and change higher now that it was in January. But *two* things changed here in Virginia in 2025. I did a cost analysis and 39% of that cost increase is due to taxes and fees imposed by our CIA plant governor and her Socialist cronies in Richmond. The other 61% is from external pressures, but that’s not all crude oil costs. Newsom shut down significant refinery capacity at the very end of 2025 and early 2026. So as inventories depleted in California they started shipping more refined products from the Gulf to California and surrounding states, which reduced supply that was coming from the Gulf to places like, well, here. I am not willing to argue that properly factoring in contributions like that will get the war impact of gas price increases below 50%, but it doesn’t matter. No matter how you slice it Democrats are responsible for at least almost half of the increase I am paying in gas prices. And if the war stopped today and crude oil was all the way down at $70, those Democrat cost impacts *don’t* go away.

And people around here think voting Democrat will lower gas prices.

Old blood Americans have alot bigger problems/dangers than transitory $4/gal gasoline.

Islamist’s, Bolsheviks, sexual degenerates/hedonists, oligarchs, the refuse of every hive/herd/shithole country teem in our neighborhoods and permeate our governments at every level.

Doomsday cultists on the edge of becoming nuclear powers with missile tech rivaling our peers.

Further, in 60 years we went from being a creditor nation and producing 45% of the world’s industrial might to a bunch of baristas and WalMart Welcomers with our kid’s Amazon card.

We need leaders like Churchill and Washington and not the PeeWee Herman’s we have in large part now.

Oh well. It is just my opinion and I do not feel strongly about it.

So, I agree with you, but let’s be clear that that 45% of industrial production in the 60s was tossed just a little by the fact that we had just bombed Japan and Europe back into the 17th century. We weren’t going to maintain that forever. We’re still massively outproducing the rest of the world per capita. But, yes, the trend in everything else you say is real and will destroy the country if we don’t reverse it.

From my perspective, closed borders, millions deported or self-deported, and crime stats *below* 60 years ago are one hell of a good start.

I imagine the POTATUS Cabal had an entire phone-bank with sellers on speed-dial so that they could be yelled at and threatened while POTATUS shut down the country and printed money. A few thousand armed IRS agents doesn’t hurt...

It is past time for Americans to admit that Corporate America works for the ‘Rats. They outsourced, embraced DEI and COVID “mandates”, and hid inflation for the masters that they throw bags of money at, in DC.

Look - paying $4/gallon sucks when I was paying $3/gallon at the beginning of the year. But if that extra $15/car per week for most Americans is some outrageous burden that’s breaking the bank, then you aren’t spending your money wisely.

We still live in the world where getting and staying married is the #1 indicator of economic prosperity. In that same world, putting off having children until whatever degree or apprenticeship is completed, or nearly completed, is the #2 indicator. And HAVING children is the #3 indicator - as expensive as they are these days. If you are single without children, you pack a lot of money away and can afford lots of nice stuff when you’re young, but when you get old you just give it all to the people changing your diapers.

If you’re focused on transient gas prices above everything else right now, you don’t get those 3 principles, and you’ll deserve what you get.

Now, let me back up and say, singleness is not horrible. And everyone who chooses it is not selfish. Paul said it’s best. But Paul *ALSO* said it’s *NOT* for most.

We here are plugged in, politically aware, but the majority of eligible voters are not. They lurch from one party to another. It’s not based on political wisdom. It’s personal. It’s how often they stop to gas up, how much they’re paying for groceries, and the chronic sense that someone else is in control of their lives, while they struggle.

The election will be about President Trump, who is where the buck stops. It depends on those voters who are neither pro nor con Trump, counting their bucks and voting their pocketbooks.

If they see a decisive victory against the Iranian regime, and the price of gas drops hard and fast, Trump wins and the USA wins.

It’s that simple.

What I don’t get about all the Sooners wailing about inflation and gas prices is that it is way more than offset by the booming economy. Business is better than it has been in many many years today. Sure I am paying a bit more for things at the store, but my income is up way more than that.

The coordinated propaganda machine is trying to push the if Latino and gas prices memes as hard as they can to steal the election.

The faux dichotomy talking heads are out in force, “The MOST important election of our lifetime (again)...”. All while Thune has stymied nearly every pro-American bill & the House has taken another vacation (after their last vacation) until AFTER the midterms.

But, no, the (R)N(C) isn’t TRYING to throw yet another majority. They just need MORE (R)N(C) for the next 2 yrs to get things done *roll eyes*

Pres. Trump said we weren’t needed (not like our votes are “theirs” to begin). That was received, loud & clear. Luckily, there’s usually more than just TWO choices on every ballot.

I’m married.. 53 years now to the same woman right out of high school. Retired and living the dream. 2 kids, 4 grandkids all doing great and they moved to be near the wife and I.

We planned, we’re doing fine and $4.00 or $8.00 gas vs $3.00 gas is irrelevant. I remember when it was $0.35 per gallon. Sucks but I’m not changing what I do because of it. I’m a motorhead so I like cars, fast and loud ones. I’m more pissed at $80.00 lunch tab and $7.50 craft beers but I still eat and have craft beers.

If $15.00 extra a week is breaking the bank then those folks obviously are doing something wrong.

In his meeting with President Xi, President Trump suggested that when the present Iranian government is gone, as much of the Iranian oil as it wants can be promised to China. The potential for such a tremendous plentiful and guaranteed supply will induce China to cease throwing money at a terrorist regime that is now in world disfavor.

Deserting Iran is thus a positive that Xi can make to President Trump in exchange for who knows what.

But President Trump is almost certainly using other people’s oil to obtain a significant advantage
