Democratic Michigan Senate hopeful Dr. Abdul El-Sayed danced around pleas from an emotional student Wednesday to condemn the theocratic government of Iran and stand with anti-regime protesters.
During a “Students vs. Billionaires” town hall in Ann Arbor, Iman Dashti recounted how his family was oppressed by the Islamic Republic — citing the case of his uncle, who Dashti said suffered 50 lashes before being put to death; and his cousin, who was allegedly detained for not wearing a hijab properly.
Dashti then confronted El-Sayed over leaked audio in which the candidate fretted about opining on the death of late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the first day of the US war Feb. 28.
In the audio, El-Sayed, a Sunni Muslim, fretted that cheering the ayatollah’s death could offend Shiite Muslims in Michigan.
“That silence had [left] a gaping hole in our community. And I want to ask if you regret that silence. I want to ask if you renounce the people that held vigils that supported this terrorist for all the stuff that he’s done,” Dashti said.
“I wanted to ask if you stand unequivocally against the IRGC [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps], against the Islamic Republic of Iran that has killed 50,000 protesters,” he added. “I haven’t heard anything from you about the protesters. Abdul, please.”
“While I stand with freedom and democratic movements,” El-Sayed responded, “I also worry that once you start putting our resources toward regime change in foreign countries, more often than not, the regimes that we seek to change are the ones in which there is a natural resource interest, and it becomes a ploy for the interests of our corporations.”
Dashti protested that El-Sayed was evading his question about standing with Iranian dissidents, adding that “we’re dying.”

Not surprisingly, El-Sayed didn’t answer the question. The truth is that not only does he support the regime’s mass murder of the Iranian resistance, but roots for the IRGC over both America and Israel.
Because he stands with the IRGC, they are both on the same page..that is why he wont condemn them, because he AGREES with them, just like he agrees with Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthi’s and every other terrorist group out there
