Joel Webbon made the case in a 21 September episode of The NXR Podcast, arguing that universal suffrage puts conservatives at a political disadvantage when Democrats promise voters government benefits.
Webbon titled his episode The Right Must Embrace Socialism To Win, laying out what he described as a problem created by modern democratic politics.

Webbon’s prime popularity is with GenZ.
Specifically, the GenZ voters who Trump won. Joel Webbon is not a democrat. Webbon does not like democrats and democrats do not like Webbon. Webbon speaks(or did speak) specifically to Trump’s GenZ voters, which is what makes him MAGA.
It may be that Trump might not have done so well in the last election with GenZ without Webbon and others having a similar message.
That’s the most I know, if others know even more and can show I would like to see it if there is newer information.

He’s very publicly supported Trump and his agenda, especially immigration. He’s debated multiple left-wing pastors defending Trump.

Promoting socialism is always wrong. Even when rightists promote socialism. That is wrong too.
I’ll admit I know nothing about Webbon. And maybe his appeal to the right to embrace Socialism is written in some sort of sarcastic irony.
But Ted Cruz went on to blast Webbon. And that’s good enough reason for me to also criticize this “MAGA Pastor”.

The audio seems a little funky at least to me.
That was my thought. What he’s saying is nothing new. But I think the problem extends beyond the economic. Gay marriage, trans-genderism, are examples. Liberalism simply has no brakes. Conservatism, however, is based on the same Enlightenment assumptions as liberalism so it inevitably loses. This is why Nathan Cofnas, who rejects the blank slate, has been so heavily criticized.
