Even Ohio and Iowa, after trending Republican for years, are battlegrounds in the midterm elections.
An old saying suggests that the road to the White House runs through Ohio. For more than 125 years, the Buckeye State has served as the nation’s bellwether. More recently many Midwestern states—not only Ohio, but also Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota—have turned either ruby red or navy blue. That polarization has hit a tipping point. The heartland is set again to become the nation’s pre-eminent battleground, and Democrats need to appreciate what that means for the future.
The history is dramatic. Barack Obama won Iowa by nearly 10 points in 2008, but Donald Trump prevailed in 2024 by more than 13. Hawkeye Republicans now hold supermajorities in both chambers of the state Legislature. Ohio has been trending right, favoring Mr. Trump in 2020, the first time since 1960 that the national winner didn’t carry the state.
But past performance won’t be indicative of future results. Iowa’s state auditor, Rob Sand, appears poised to become the first Democrat to win the governorship in 20 years. Democrat Amy Acton has more than a fighting chance for the Ohio governorship against Republican Vivek Ramaswamy. Jocelyn Benson and David Crowley are likely to win the governorships in Michigan and Wisconsin, respectively. The only statewide Democrat in real trouble is Abdul El-Sayed, the party’s Senate candidate in Michigan, who is struggling because his decision to campaign with someone who believes “America deserved 9/11” has forced him to relitigate his primary continually.
The Midwestern Democratic wave will almost surely expand our farm team—namely state legislators—such that Democratic minority caucuses can sustain gubernatorial vetoes of GOP-sponsored legislation. We may even claim trifectas (the governorship and majorities in both houses of the state legislature) in...

Those smooth talkers, smiling and acting friendly, who tell the most convincing lies about being “moderate” are in good shape.
The repulsive sow Elissa Slotkin had saturation TV ads in Michigan in 2024 which never once mentioned she was a Democrat or what progressive secrets she would reveal after she won. Because a loudmouth leftist including encouraging American service people to refuse to follow orders from their commanders (side by side with Mark Kelly and other mutants).
Stupid and gullible people vote for the best liars. el-Sayed and the rest are going to be really dangerously evil if in office. He’ll probably have Piker as his closest advisor once he places a far long distance call all the way to California to invite him.

She received a tax credit on her home under a farming exception.
But no farming activity actually took place on the land.
But, officials labeled the home as “agricultural improved,” which meant she could avoid paying property tax.
The controversy was used as an attack line by her Republican opponent.

ICE needs to go to PCUN, the farmer workers union and organizations like them in the US. That’s where the alien ballots are filled out for them. Lots of nefarious activity in these “organizations”…..probably La Raza too.

Democrats have been stealing Illinois for decades. My friend, who is a felon, received two mail-in ballots, and he wasn’t even registered for the last election.
We were visited by a staffer for State Rep Cassandra Hernandez this afternoon (TX-115). Her info never stated she was a Democrat, but her endorsements gave it away: American Federation of Teachers and several Police and Fire Fighter associations.
The district I live in used to be at worst solidly purple. Now it's 70-75% Democrat, thanks to redistricting several years ago.
Is there any MI Democrat who is not repulsive?
