On September 15 around 9 a.m., surveillance video captured a masked suspect demanding property from a customer at a Shell station near 151st Street and Harlem Avenue in Orland Park, Illinois. The concealed carry license holder drew his firearm and shot the 20-year-old Christopher Brown in the cheek, who fled but was soon caught nearby and hospitalized in stable condition. Brown faces charges of attempted armed robbery, possessing a stolen vehicle and firearm, and aggravated unlawful weapon possession. The gas station owner's family member, Naseem Elmosa, praised the customer's preparedness, noting no one else was hurt and police confirmed no ongoing threat.

The victim was either an off duty cop or retired cop or a combat veteran. It takes nerves of steel to draw down on someone who is already pointing a gun at you and he never hesitated, one continuing flowing motion, that takes a lot of training and plus hits his target first shot.
I hate Illinois armed robbers.
I hate Illinois enema bandits.
Everyone, including women, should be trained and carry guns.
Criminals will start thinking twice if they believe over half the citizens are armed.
You should watch the video. I had to look several times to note that the perp even had a firearm; even then in my view he had merely drawn it, not pointed it (still good shoot).
Also if the defender was any of these categories he appears to be not actively training athletically :p
Thirdly I find it at best irritating that you assume only the government can prepare people to defend themselves. I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough but maybe he was just a guy who did his regular drills.

Love the name Prickster. So funny. If you really dislike him, look up the novel Girls in High Places written by Sugar Rautborg. It is a thinly disguised story about the Pricksters and their affairs. Fun read.
