Washington — For the third time, the House voted Tuesday to block President Trump from taking further military action against Iran, with seven Republicans breaking with the president.
The vote ended in a 220 to 204 tally, marking a symbolic rebuke of the president over the largely unpopular war. Tuesday's resolution drew more GOP support than the previous two efforts to limit Mr. Trump's war powers in June and July.
Three new Republicans voted yes: Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina and Reps. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn of Iowa.
The four who supported the prior resolutions were Reps. Tom Barrett of Michigan, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Warren Davidson of Ohio and Thomas Massie of Kentucky.

They never stop trying to shackle him.
CBS is the author of this report.
Iran is hoping for a Democrat majority in Congress come November.
Iran’s only escape route is to have the Democrats tie up Trump in Trumped up charges.
I can see why some of the vulnerable Republicans voted the way they did in order to give themselves a better chance of winning in November.
Miller-Meeks has Cedar Rapids and Iowa City islamists to worry about, and Nunn has Polk County (Des Moines) islamists to worry about. Moral and physical courage has not generally been a Republican politician's strong suit since 1865.
Additionally, all three metro areas are - and always will be - so blue they are dang near black. Parts of them are also becoming third-world shitholes full of non-english speakers. I'd include Dubuque, but they prefer to import Illinois felons to balkanize the area.
So, democrats don't like it.
Gosh THAT's news...
DSA is trying to totally stop Trump.
DSA is trying to totally stop Trump.
Looks like a new group of rinos. Remember their names for future reference, like on midterm election day.
“ DSA is trying to totally stop Trump.”

… and provide encouragement to the Iranian mullahs.
These rinos are bad news because they will take muslim payoffs to stop negative and adversarial issues.
Now the House has canceled any more votes and will go on vacation Again and Again (just repeated it for emphasis) until after the midterms.
They do nothing for the people. They get their paychecks off of our backs and go home for more fun and vacation.
Wow, that is a real vote getter. 🙄🤪
Voting against war is antisemitic.
Meanwhile, the Houthis have closed the straights at the Red Sea with sea mines.
Perfect timing. The Iran revolution is starting and Congress votes to save the Iranian Mullah regime.

They are likely voting the wishes of a majority of their constituency. There are that many islamists and stupid liberals here. This is what we really need to fear.
Yeah, that's part of their job when he usurps Congressional powers.
"In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the constitution" - Thomas Jefferson
That's not true.
There are mines in the Strait of Hormuz, placed by Iran.
In the Bab al-Mandab Strait the Houthis are blocking Saudi and Israeli traffic, but not other nations. They're not using mines to achieve this.
It appears that President Trump’s planned off-ramp from this conflict is losing the Congress in November and having the Democrats cut off funding for this misguided and ultimately unwinnable war. However, I think he is mistaken if he believes that history or anyone will blame the Democrats for this strategic military loss and end of American economic hegemony. His legacy will be the end of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency and the economic deprivation which will result from that. The only upside I foresee is that the Israel-first, pro-endless war boomers will finally be marginalized within the Republican Party. Maybe then we will finally get our country back and be able to truly put America first.
I think the majority here have forgotten that.
