Use cheaper regular oil. All my card went past 100,000 miles using cheapest oil, without engine breakdowns.
I have always done my own fluid changes. My last two oil changes of Castrol Edge High Mileage have increased by over 10% each for just the cost of the oil.
Almost all of the Fully Synthetic oils you see on store shelves is derived from conventional oil.
Many years ago Mobil filed suit against Castrol claiming that they were engaging in deceptive advertising by labeling conventionally derived lubricants as "Full Synthetic". The court found that the term "Fully Synthetic" refers to the oil's performance rather than it's composition or ingredients.
