Not good
The Houthis appear to have struck Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline, which carries crude from Abqaiq on the Gulf coast to Yanbu on the Red Sea.
Multiple fire hotspots were detected at six points along the pipeline route at roughly the same time, around 17:56 UTC.
Large smoke plumes were also visible in the attached NOAA-20 and MODIS satellite imagery.

Disaster. This is what comes from treating the Houthis like any normal insurgency, instead of exterminating them with any and all methods of WMDs.
BRENT CRUDE Over $109
Lulz
Neocons never disappoint in their desire to believe.
There’s a Woulda, Coulda, and Shoulda that would have turned every disaster into victory, but aw shucks, we just didn’t.
There’s no public support for the things you imagine are necessary to win. Do you understand what that means our real options are? Unless you just like losing wars because it makes you money anyway or something.
You’d think that maybe these Sand Dwellers would have had enough BS from the Iran Despots.
Or, is POTUS proven right again in that nearly the whole world relies on America to cover their arses, all the while bad mouthing the people of The Fruited Plane?
There’s a guy on Youtube that is accurate news for this, S2, The Wire. Pipeline was hit, and several power plants.
This is just...awkward.
why don’t the saudi’s fight the houthis themselves?
time for the saudis to step up to the plate and take some swings imho
there is only so much that the usa can do on behalf of the saudis
that is, unless the saudis covertly support iran
The last time the Saudis tried it the got their butts kicked.
bttt
It’s the result of oil dumping by OPEC. Every time we get production going in the US, OPEC dumps cheap oil on us to stop our production. IRAN attacking Saudi oil hurts both of them.
I, for one, am shocked that a relic monarchy of fat sheiks is having trouble handling its hinterlands.
I’m not a fan of turtling, I’m not an isolationist, I think the US has a global role in the world...
I think we’d best off just exiting the hell out of the area. I’m not suggesting leaving Israel out to dry - but they have a supremely capable military, their own nuclear arsenal, and I’d continue to support selling them arms as necessary.
But - from Greece to India, south to Africa? Just exit. Nothing good ever comes being directly involved.
Let them blow each other up and stay out of the way.
Interesting. I do remember the Saudis not wanting Jimmy Carter to fill the SPR. He capitulated I do beliebe. Mighta been Bush ‘41.
Those pipelines are not gonna be easy to keep secure. Put them underground?
"Time to step up to the plate, mother-fu**ers."
The Saudis have restricted US actions because of fear they'd be hit. Well, guess what, you dolts: You were gonna get hit anyway.
Now if only the Saudis had had the imagination to order 20 million Ukie style drones from some of Saudi's asian customers...
Not that much the same doesn't apply to us.

Your last line seems to leave the track, but the Houthis claim they are retaliating against SA for 10 years of murdering Yemenis.
There’s nothing good about any of this, since it shows the Iran war expanding into a more widespread ME war. SA is run by murderous criminals too, so I wish them both the best of luck in this fight.
The “Leaders” of Iran are begging for and past deserving somethoing like the firebombing of Dresden and Tokyo.
WHICH Saudis?
The ‘royal family’ that runs the country as an absolute monarchy? Or the mucks expected to fight for them?
Geopolitical politics ain’t bean bag - and sometimes you back the least bad option for your own purposes.
But the Saudis? We should have just cut them loose long, long ago.
so we are in the business of supporting spoiled rich muslim lost causes
why
