By the time the public hears about a local data center project, corporations are already seeking tax breaks, utility subsidies, infrastructure investments, and approvals that could reshape a community for decades.

Public schools can end up carrying the cost. Data centers consume enormous amounts of electricity and water, can drive up utility costs, and bring noise, pollution, and industrial infrastructure closer to the places where children learn and live. Nearly 2,000 U.S. schools are already located within a mile of a data center or one approved for construction.

Then, there is the money. Governments are handing data center corporations massive tax incentives while public schools struggle to fund educators, counselors, building repairs, and other basic needs. At least 10 states are already losing more than $100 million per year in tax revenue to data center subsidies.

That is why Public School Strong is bringing educators, students, families, and community members together on Wednesday, September 16 from 7 to 8:30pm EDT for Kids Over Corporations -- Halting the Spread of Data Centers, a virtual event launching our new Data Center Organizing Toolkit. ....

Thank you very much and God bless you.

email & website. Public School Strong is 1 of 12,000 organization in the ActionNetwork.Org. While the Right is involved in internal fighting and refusal to support the coalition the coalition on the left ignores "THEIR" issue and organizes on every issue.

In GA there are schools close to big data centers in Atlanta neighborhoods of downtown, midtown, Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Norcross, Savannah, Douglasville....hundreds in GA. There was never a complaint prior to Dec 2025... no complaint from nearby schools, no complaint from environmentalists, from nobody. Then suddenly someone "manufactured" the issue. The Left is united behind this manufactured issue.

I just want all to compare the unified coalition of the left and the non-unified coalition of the Right. The first problem of the Right is to recognize that they are a coalition. We don't all agree on everything.

Google says: “Public School Strong is closely affiliated with and heavily funded by major teachers’ unions. While it was originally launched as a broad community and parent initiative under the non-profit organization Race Forward and its HEAL Together project, national and local education unions are formal partners in running and financing the campaign.”

That should be all you need to know.

Any civic initiative that ends in “Strong” is ALWAYS a liberal incarnation. This includes any city, like my own, that has such an initiative.

These are even sometimes co-opted by liberals running for mayor in which such a naming construct had not been in place before.

So “(Insert your city name here) Strong” should always be a flag for bad people with bad intent.

This has been true for at least 13 years, in my experience.

Liberals will take this concept and then anyone who opposes it is considered a malcontent that hates the city and its government.

China and anti-Americans want the U.S. to lose the AI competition and the jobs, technology and wealth they create.

Everything is fair in love & war, as the old saying goes. Make no mistake about it, China has been at war with the U.S. for decades now.

It was our major threat, once it got its foot in the door to world trade, and most favored nation status at that.

The Soviet Union collapsed financially, what remained of Russia was only a threat with its nuclear weapons, but unlikely to use them unless backed into a corner.

Almost always a Strong Arm operation on your wallet.

So, why are data centers bad for children in school? What impact do the have on a school less than a mile away. I’m sure that it must be terrible but what is the actual threat? Is it as bad as gay porn and grooming in schools? It must be worse from the sound of this article. But what do they actually do to schools?

“We demand sports stadiums instead.”

I have a sneaking suspicion this data center sudden hysteria is driven by a certain foreign country.

The point I’m trying to make is that the left understands and uses coalitions. The Right does not so much.

An alleged leftist schools group supports the left on things that have nothing to do with schools.

A leftist climate group supports the left on things that have nothing to do with climate.

A pro-Terroorist Hamas group supports the left on things that have nothing to do with “Palestine”

Those are greatly exaggerated or non-existent.
Those are spread mostly by click-bait articles picking up on Chinese propaganda.
Do away with Data Centers and you’re doing away with modern civilization. No internet, no online shopping, no cell phones, no online banking, etc.
