Iran’s oil shipments are plunging, tanker reserves are rapidly shrinking, and China is seeking alternative suppliers.
Iran’s economy is coming under increasing pressure as damage to its oil exports, a weakening currency and shrinking access to foreign currency threaten one of Tehran’s most important sources of revenue.
According to a report published Wednesday by Independent Arabia, the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian oil exports has significantly reduced Tehran’s ability to move crude from the Persian Gulf to international markets.
The report said that since the blockade was renewed in mid-July, no major new shipments of Iranian crude have managed to pass through it. Iran continues to load limited quantities of oil onto tankers, but the vessels reportedly remain in the Gulf and are unable to reach customers.
The amount of Iranian oil already stored on tankers outside the blockade area has also fallen sharply. According to the report, floating inventories declined from approximately 90 million barrels in mid-July to around 29 million barrels. These reserves have allowed Iran to continue receiving revenue from oil that was transferred outside the Gulf before restrictions were tightened. At the current rate of depletion, the reserves could run out by mid-October, according to estimates cited in the report.
The decline is also reflected in Iran’s oil-loading activity. The report estimates that Iran loaded approximately 255,000 barrels per day onto tankers within the Gulf in August, an 85% decrease from the average recorded between February and April. Before the war, Iranian oil exports had been approaching 2 million barrels per day.

They have no sea routes, rail and truck traffic is vulnerable to sorties that end up bombing the most vital of bridges, and loading terminals are also subject to attack and destruction by drones and aerial delivery.
Life is hard, then all these obstacles get thrown in your way.

The downside: the oil price mentioned above.
The downside wouldn’t be such a big deal if the midterms weren’t so close.

OK, I'll be serious. I can't be the only person who thinks Iran looks like the last days of Nazi Germany, minus the ground troops. They would be targeting every American, every Israeli, every tanker in the strait, if they had anything to hit them with. Which means China/Russia/Norks either can't or won't supply Iran, preferring it to twist slowly in the wind.
The article did a good job of explaining Iran’s dwindling oil sitting in tankers outside of the Gulf. Iran has been draining this reserve to make shipments.
Perhaps your post also suggests the reason for targeting Jask, where pack trains of camels and mules may, indeed, be being used to evade the blockade.

Every time the Houthis or the Iranians fire a missile it came from somewhere else, or at least it’s parts did. China and Russia are desperately trying to resupply, without being obvious. The Iranian only real power, besides terrorism, was to block traffic in the Gulf. They have lost that ability now. The pipelines, Venezuela, and Russian Crude are going to make the Iranians irrelevant. Once business moves away, it’s going to be hard to ‘re-connect’ and Iran will dry oil prices very, very, very low to do that.
Perhaps Ukraine is much closer, and Trump is making lemonade out of it?

Bishkek is a the capital where the SCO just held their summit earlier this month, and denounced U.S. sanctions. The current sanctions regime on Iran is nothing like that imposed on North Korea and Iraq (that had almost unanimous global support), but those still failed in their objectives of preventing a nuclear weapon or regime change.

More like Japan than Germany. Germany had the good sense to finally surrender to save what little they had left. The Japanese on the other hand were led by fanatics who were willing to take the country with them rather than surrender. If we had not used the bombs and had instead invaded, it would have been a fight to the death with millions killed. That is the type of leadership we are dealing with. Religious fanatics who will die before surrendering. And if the country goes with them, it is what Allah wanted. I hope our people understand this. IRGC are not rational people.

Venezuela was also about leverage with Canada. Our largest trading partner that literally had us over a barrel because WE NEEDED their crude. Now, we can get some of that same type of crude from Venezuela.
Obviously, these moves also put pressure on CHINA. It removes two of their cheap source supplies of crude. Now, the only one they have is RUSSIA.
Then we have Cuba and Nicaragua. What are they going to do without the help of Venezuela and Iran.
I think the Caspian Sea is still somewhat available to import and export from. Russia controls that. We have attacked some of the Iranian port facilities. We are not going to blow up any Russian ships. Ukraine might though.
