They really are two diametrically opposed world views. this just proves it.
Many liberal white women who are supporting Lindsay Clancy are among that group.
I think deep down many of them hate themselves as much as anything else. Such is the damage liberalism does to the human mind!
I am blessed to be an American, and we have a lot to be proud of. There are also many things about America that are shameful; our society has sunk to new lows, in many cases, but I would not want to be a citizen of any other country.
Civil War pure and simple. Also more conservative people now identifying as being Republican. In the past there were a lot more conservative Democrats..

Today, with the party's full conversion to communism, at best, 15% would be proud to be an American...
Since 2001 many old school Democrats have been replaced by the likes of Bernie Sanders and AOC. George Wallace, Richard Lamb and Gaylord Nelson have died and they are not being replaced ideologically.
25 years of constant war wears people down if they bother to think about what’s happening. It has also added trillions of dollars to our national debt, but the “fiscal hawks” conveniently ignore that fact.
Something I've been saying. Had an argument a couple weeks ago while treating a friend to lunch. Of course she brings up politics, complaining about Trump. So I said Democrats are evil. She went ballistic on me, saying she is a Democrat, so I must be calling her evil. Totally out of control. So I said okay. She says the friendship is over. I told another friend there that I won't hold my breath for her to get over it. Other friend is laughing. Democrats are in fact aholes, as you said. I'll continue to smile while calling them evil.
