President Trump : NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES!
Truth Social ^ | 09/07/2026 | Donald J Trump

Posted on 09/07/2026 1:09:15 PM PDT by DFG

NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren’t good enough! Over 50% of their revenue comes from the United States — They live off American Buyers, American Companies, American Airports, and American Service — All while Canada blocks our GREAT American Banks, and Companies, throughout the U.S.A. They even blocked Gulfstream Aerospace from doing business in Canada — Completely unjust and unfair! That Era is OVER! If they want our Market, they must build here, and stop treating America like a “piggybank.” BUY AMERICAN. FLY ON AMERICAN AIRLINERS. ENJOY AMERICAN LIQUOR AND BEVERAGES. SAIL ON LAKE AMERICA. AMERICA FIRST! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

I have a friend who works at the local Bombardier maintenance facility. He was “this far” from retiring. I am sure he will be thrilled with this stuff.

There are a LOT of those aircraft in the US.

They still need to be maintained. He will still be busy.

Didn’t bombadier use to be the parent company of Johnson Evinrude? That use to be my go to outboard motor, it was world wide known for durability and service parts availability. Really pi$$ed me off when they went out of business.

Does this need to go through Congress first?

Our Canadian Dairy industry is operated by ~9,600 farms. President Trump’s recent move against BBD puts that industry on notice.

Watch any of the old movies, if a boat was involved, it had a Johnson on it, no matter where in the world the movie took place.

Pretty much. They even tried to get into motorcycles.

Back in the day, Bombardier made two offers to buy Buell from Harley Davidson after HD decided to shut the Buell line down. HD declined both of Bombardier's offers, apparently not wanting to look stupid if someone else was successful with the brand.
So instead Harley paid out $125 million in shutdown costs to kill the Buell line rather than actually making money by selling it.

It sucked to be a HOG shareholder when Keith Wandell was the CEO.

Pick a better battle, Trump. This is stupid. Bombardier makes planes in Wichita.

When they quit building the ETech boat motors I lost interest. Wish I had got the ETech 150 hp before they quit.

You can thank the gumment for running Johnson/Evinrude out of business with regulations that 2 stroke motors struggled to meet.

Current Assembly: Bombardier’s main manufacturing and final assembly lines for its Challenger and Global business jet families take place in Canada (primarily in Montreal and Toronto).

Learjet Production: Learjet manufacturing and final assembly in Wichita permanently ended when Bombardier shut down the Learjet production lines in March 2022.

U.S. Headquarters: Wichita serves as Bombardier’s official United States corporate headquarters.

Bombardier Defense: The site modifies existing Bombardier business jets (such as the Global 6000) into specialized military and special-mission aircraft.

Maintenance and Repair (MRO): The expansive service center handles major maintenance, repair, and overhaul for Learjet, Challenger, and Global aircraft.

They make jet skis. Mine would do 60 mph.

I still fondly remember my 1974 Ski-Doo 400FA snowmobile. Bought it used, rode the heck out of it, sold it for more than I paid for it. Nothing ever went wrong with it except maybe a headlight bulb.
