The U.S. military, in conjunction with Ecuadorian officials, boarded and later sank a vessel on Friday allegedly used as a refueling station for drug-trafficking boats in the eastern Pacific Ocean, according to U.S. Southern Command.
The vessel, which was in international waters near Ecuador, was allegedly used as a floating ship-to-ship refueling station for drug boats belonging to the Los Choneros organization.
The ship was boarded by Marines and sailors from the USS San Antonio and cleared without incident, SOCOM said. The people taken off the boat were then taken to Ecuador, and the U.S. sank the boat with an airstrike, SOCOM said, which also provided video of the ship being scuttled.

Yeah, my first thought was, “You sank a perfectly good ship?? Take it and keep it!! Use it! Sell it! Geez...”
Makes sense, until you figure that there would be judges all over the country just waiting to rule that the boat was illegally seized, or that the crew and/or vessel was outside the jurisdiction of the military authority, and that the crew and vessel must be released and returned to the owners. And you just KNOW that something like that would occur.
Oh, that’s true. Lord, I hate those judges.
This is likely a smaller vessel that total may carry a handful of barrels, not a million of them.

The problem with folks like Biden is, when you act only within the safe confines of political top cover from the UN, NATO/EU, etc. but are reluctant to “go it alone,” you end up using US tax money and spilling US blood in the service of others and a handful of super wealthy, Ukraine being the perfect example.
Can you tell me how Ukraine made the average American any safer, wealthier, or increased their liberty?
The things which DO impact the safety on our streets like drugs (I'm talking nasty stuff like fentanyl, cocaine, not weed), spill over crime caused by an open border, the Cartels and their battles, immigration from nations where we have threats and cannot vet people (we have a lot of scum coming in), Iran which has been literally/not figuratively killing our people for decades, Venezuela and Panama which had foreign and threat influence which could adversely impact the US economically and in security posture... THOSE WERE IGNORED.
Trump has realigned how we use our State Department, Department of War, and economic pressure tools, in order to advance the interests of America.
When Trump took action with Iran, he stuck his neck out. An Obama or Biden wouldn't do that. Heck, a Clinton (either of them) likely wouldn't have authorized a high risk rescue mission for the downed F15 crew.

With respect to Ukraine-while I feel sympathy for Ukrainian citizens, the government is so wholly corrupt, and it has no strategic or domestic interests for our country, and the only time I heard about it was when I began to hear names like Victoria Nuland, Hillary Clinton, and Alexander Vindman, and not in any kind of positive way.
I viewed it as a somewhat internecine conflict that we shouldn't have been involved in. If Europeans viewed it as a threat, they should have done something about it. And here we have already sent nearly $200 billion to that money pit.
(Note: I am fully aware of the Holododomor (Ukrainian genocide via starvation) and the animosity between Russia and Ukraine, but they were united in their communist ideology, sharing fully in that power to advance the USSR)

And he did that knowing full well we were in an election year, and that if he had done nothing, it would have likely improved chances for Republican performance in that election. Yet he did it because the timing factor was important. If he hadn't, we might well be talking about a nuclear armed Iran today.
And these are only two examples. We are lucky to be living through the most impactful President of our time, and instead of celebrating and appreciating it, we have people on our side who side with enemies, both foreign and domestic, to try to tear him down.
It is refreshing to hear a cogent defense of this remarkable President. We will never see someone like him occupy that office again in our lifetime.

Prizes were adjudicated and awarded in the nearest Admiralty Court, to which the seized ship and cargo would be sailed or towed. In this case, the court in question would probably be a Federal District Court in San Diego, CA ...
So yeah. Sink it. You can't trust the court to do the right thing.
