H1b visa fraud ring busted in India
X ^

Posted on 08/29/2026 6:08:31 AM PDT by FLT-bird

"Law enforcement in India claim it has uncovered a network of universities that produce fake degrees which were possibly used to obtain these high skilled H1B visas, including one school which allegedly stole over 36,000 fake degrees. It cost as little as $1,400 for one of those."

"And while these are supposed to be high skilled employees during almost all of Biden's time in office, 83% got junior or entry level positions."

Over 100,000 fake degrees linked to 22 universities

So many of the cheap H1b Indians are not actually highly qualified. American companies don't actually hire them because of their "expertise".

Who knew?

The new $100K fee is a good move by Trump and I'm glad they did it.....but it needs to apply to renewals as well as new applications. We currently have over 730,000 H1bs in the US right now. The way I see it, that's easily over half a million jobs stolen from Americans.

American companies ought to pay a ruinous tax for hiring any foreigner. While we have any Americans on public assistance, all possible jobs should be given to Americans. And that public assistance ought to be measly while any job is available. Americans should work here, not foreigners. And taxpayers should not be forced to give charity to people who could work but don’t.

I agree. I have worked with these H1Bs and they are definitely not the best-and-brightest. The $100k is a good start, as you say, and I agree that it should apply to renewals.

“So many of the cheap H1b Indians are not actually highly qualified.”

But they’re highly arrogant.

I have a friend who would agree with you 100%. Worked with them for 5 years. Said as a group they were lazy, incompetent and really didn’t care about the job or company. They were in America making good money and if they got into management, they were hiring their friends and family members to replace Americans. It was all good.

Your friend definitely hit the nail on the head. $100k may not even be a high enough fee...let’s make it USD $250k.

This is common knowledge. These simps get degrees from diploma mills and have no marketable skills. They are cheap so companies turn a blind eye. The $100k fee is a head fake. There is no fee and Lutnick and company are full of shiite.

Are H!B visa applications like the Motor Voter Law?

From the Motor Voter Law-—
“”” I am a United States citizen

The information I have provided is true to the best of my
knowledge under penalty of perjury””””

Do the H!B applicants have to assert they have specific skills under penalty of perjury?

I don’t want to rule out ALL talented foreigners or ones who really do have critical job skills in areas we lack. I wouldn’t want to turn away the next Elon Musk.

Or imagine the example of ship building. South Korea does 30% of the entire world’s ship building. They are vastly more efficient at it than we are (no its not just cheap labor.....labor is not that cheap in South Korea anymore). We let them take over one of our ship yards recently and are encouraging them to expand because we want to bring back shipbuilding for national security reasons. OK. So we might need to bring over some of their managers who know how to efficiently run a modern shipyard to get that industry kick started here. Fine. Don’t make it so expensive we can’t bring a few of these guys over.

But absolutely CRUSH cheap labor. Do not let big Tech and the big Banks and consulting companies have hordes and hordes of cheap H1bs. THAT’s what we want to stop. We still want a few superstars and a few experts in critical areas.

No. They are like a virus. Hire one and then all they do is import more and more garbage from their 4th world shithole. There are no checks on this invasion and the Trump admin is full of crap about the $100k visas.

100% agree. The Indians have been abusing the H1B visa for years, and the execs who hire them are idiots. Cheaper != better.

It is nearly impossible for white American males to get a tech job because all the tech recruiters are Indians. And have been for 10 years now. White men are the only group you can freely discriminate against. Google and facebook made sure of that.

If H1B is not eliminated it would be good to at least get rid of the dual intent nature (ability to convert to permanent resident then citizen).

A big part of the problem is that ethnic (dot) Indians do most of the hiring and they would rather hire their own kind.

Carnegie-Mellon University in nearby Pittsburgh is famous for cranking out IT graduates. Indian graduates typically have multiple job offers to choose from whereas Americans have few and sometimes none even with better grades.

They actually had a seminar at a major hotel here a few years ago titled "How Not to Hire Americans." They got busted when someone smuggled out a video recording and posted it on-line.

Even when Americans do the hiring, they are likely to be differential to their Indian colleagues. Partly out of workforce compatibility, mostly because H1Bs will work for less money and generate the same billable hours or even more because it takes them longer to do the same work!

Any politician that runs on ending the program will probably do well.
