Iran has been invited to join the Mecca Agreement for Mutual Defense, the new security alliance established by Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan earlier this month, Al Mayadeen reported on Saturday, citing a senior Iranian official.
The invitation has not yet been officially confirmed by Iran's Foreign Ministry or by any of the three countries that are parties to the agreement.
Mehdi Rahimi, head of the Iranian parliament's Khaneh Mellat news agency, told the channel that "Iran has received an invitation to join the Mecca Agreement, and the matter is under review."
Rahimi added that countries in the region "are moving toward seeking a regional security umbrella," and claimed that this represented "a victory for Iran, because it has been calling for this for a long time."
The Mecca Agreement was signed on August 7 by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

I guess the Saudis figured US protection isn’t worth much so decided to make additional arrangements. All 15 US Gulf bases have been destroyed and it’s questionable at this point how many of them will be rebuilt if at all. As I’ve been saying all along this is the biggest geopolitical setback in history for the US. The petrodollar is on its way out and the US dollar is likely to lose a good 50% of its value as a result.
I was just in Japan and the US Dollar is at historic highs. Thank God I have you to help me with my investments going forward as I short the dollar. Maybe you should turn off MSNow for a day or two.
The article isn’t very clear, and gives zero actual details. I imagine from the title of it it only means that there will be no attacks on Mecca itself.
For Iran to join the defense pact, Iran must surrender to the King of Saudi Arabia who is the keeper of the two holy sites.
The primary goal of the Iranian Shia Ayatollah is capture and control of Mecca.
The Ayatollah is being kicked while he is down. (if he is actually still alive)
The same group that’s building mosques all over the West
IRGC rump boy bump.
In the contest to control Meca, the USA is irrelevant and has no seat at the table
I think if Israel has nukes mecca is there number 1 target ,LOL
What you should do is quit playing games and make investments that strengthen your portfolio and make America strong
Nor should it.
So much for the Abraham Accord
I don’t think you understand how the monetary system works. Yes in the beginning the dollar will rise but this is only temporary. Countries don’t want to hold our Treasuries anymore and are buying gold instead. All the Western fiat currencies are of uncertain value because of the excessive debt burden of these countries. It’s just a matter of time until the commodity backed BRICS currency takes over.
Shiites have been known to attack pilgrims in Mecca.
It's not a defense pact in the larger sense like NATO.
Consider the source...
The good news is Muslims spend more time fighting each other than fighting infidels.
All vicious enemies of America might someday join forces? Basically, they delay have. Turkey under its current Islamonazi style regime simply must be removed from nato as it is in bed with Russia while attacking or threatening almost every other country in the region
I stated a simple fact. Are you denying that all 15 US bases have been destroyed?
