During the time that I was at Ft. Sill, my stepbrother came through for a course, at the time it struck me as odd that two brothers in the army were at the same post and got to party with each other for a few weeks, I guess today, bumping into family in the military isn’t so odd.

Howdy, luvie.

Did the clouds stick around for a while today. I hope so since you don’t get them very often.

Had storms blow through here this afternoon.

Howdy, PRO.

Love the graphic. LOL
I’m not a fan of country music at all but I always liked Dolly. Not her music so much but because she was one smart lady, and she did a lot to help people.
And she had a fabulous sense of humor.

Hey there, radu!

No, they disappeared in early afternoon. It was nice while it lasted, though. It “only’’ got up to 97 here today. I’ll take what I can get.

Hope it wasn’t too stormy but that you got some rain to get rid of some of that hay in your yard. :)

Well darn. It would have been nice if they’d stuck around a while. At least they kept you out of the triple digits - barely.

They said it would rain tonight so I was shocked to pull up the radar after I woke up and see severe storms were closing in fast. Of course, it started raining just as I was getting ready to take Jasmine to the vet. By the time I reached the driveway, it was really coming down. I crept to Tullahoma because I couldn’t see the road.
The streets were barely wet there so they missed out on the fun.

BUT, before the vet could check out Jasmine, a storm hit, the lights went out and there was a simultaneous BOOM. Lightning hit close. Turned out it hit a power pole a block from the clinic and blew the top of it to smithereens. I saw it when I left.

Have to go back tomorrow because the vet wants to x-ray Jasmine’s chest again. Something’s changed since the last one several months ago.

Yes, the rain came down hard enough to shove a lot of the grass clippings down. The yard was brown when I left but there’s a lot of green visible now.

Yay for green visible grass, but boooo that little Jasmine has to have another x-ray and heaven knows what kind of drugs after that. Kitties hate drugs.

Sounds like ya got some pretty good rain, and that’s a good thing. I wish we would. It’s been so long since we had enough rain to measure in the gauge.

I knew an x-ray was in order when I took her in. Something’s changed in her lungs and we need to know what. She had a persistent dry cough last year and the x-ray showed a lot of tiny, donut-shaped spots. The vet had never seen that before and has no clue what caused them. He suggested trying a steroid shot to see what happened and it stopped the coughing for a few weeks. She’s been going back for more shots periodically ever since.
But her cough started getting “wet” a few weeks ago and the shot last week did nothing at all.

He said it could be congestive heart failure, which was my suspicion when I first took her in. It’s treatable, at least, if that’s what it is.

I got just under .4 of an inch but it was in a hurry. It sprinkled for a while but the heavy rain lasted maybe 5 minutes, if that long. A good start on burying the clippings. LOL

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Luvie for this morning's thread.

I gave myself a haircut yesterday.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Poor kitty. I’m glad whatever she has might be treatable. Having a persistent cough is aggravating enough. Even for a kitty.

Well, .4 is nearly 1/2’’, and that’s a good thing. Maybe you’ll get some more.

Oh! I forgot to post this. LOL! Now it’s about time I finish up and shut down. No nap today, so I’m getting pretty sleepy. See ya tomorrow!
