The General Services Administration (GSA) has uncovered more than $13 billion in suspected fraud involving federal contractors.

The review covers COVID-19 spending, the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) program, contractor eligibility, bid rigging, cybersecurity-related false claims, bribery, and other potential contractor misconduct.
The GSA cited two cases to show how procurement fraud affects taxpayers and legitimate federal contractors. One involved $73 million in suspected fraud tied to federal contracts reserved for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and other eligible small businesses.
Broadway Electric Inc., Cornerstone Contracting Inc., CEO John Oehler, and President Christian Blake agreed to pay $21.3 million to resolve False Claims Act allegations that they improperly obtained the contracts.

“Outsource it”, they said. “It will save money.”
$13B is not even the tip of the iceberg. We could probably pay off the debt and cut taxes for everyone by 50% if we could just get rid of all the fraud.
Is everyone a crook ?LOL
It’s beginning to look that way!
I would like all the assets from every person involved with government fraud. I would also like every redundant organ removed from them for use by others.
I’m sorry, but we are going to have to start hanging thieves.
Can we expect indictments soon along with recovery of stolen monies????
Fraud under the SBA has been going on for years. 20some years ago, I had to vet a ton of small businesses via the SBA database. I reported dozens of discrepancies over a couple days of looking at the data and got nothing back but the sound of crickets. Tried following up and all I got was ‘thats not my job’, call so-and-so who had the same response, a huge circlejerk. Fed govt is infested by the dumbest of dumb.
Not all contractors/vendors are the same. HHS money is one of the biggest users of contractors with HHS money.
Deloitte is the single biggest welfare fraud with both State and Federal money as its IES Integrated Eligibility System covers all welfare programs: Medicaid CHIP SNAP WIC TANF Sec8 LIHEAP etc.
In contrast Gainwell is the other big Medicaid contractor. Although not perfect in the fraud department, Gainwell’s problem is WASTE as it receives the Deloitte garbage data and spends unnecessary amount of time trying to process the Deloitte garbage data.
Acentra seems to be smaller in welfare money. It has all the same problems of handling Deloitte garbage data.
Acentra seems to have the same staff problem as Deloitte. They both use many H1b. These H1b do not understand US or state law and custom. They are often not competent in IT. But the biggestw H1b factor is that they are not free to be a whistleblower. They are not free to accurately and honestly describe the reality of the welfare problems they see.
Yes
I once watched what could be termed as contractor fraud in action that was necessitated by the rules and needs of the overseeing bureaucrats. A parking lot on a military base was repaved and a small section was left unfinished so that the government inspector could find a flaw to order to be fixed. I asked the foreman about the undone portion and he told me if they did not leave the “flaw” the inspector would determine that the entire parking lot would have to be ripped out and redone. The contractor was paid to “correct the flaw” after a relatively small fine was paid.
Is anyone else tired of reading about fraud against government programs?
Tired of here about the exposure of fraud?
Nope.
The entrenched fraud has mounted for decades and bled us dry. It is our last chance to restore our nation.
I want so many indictments, arrests, convictions that a dedicated channel is created to watch the video footage for daily perp walks.
Red state, blue state.
Little fish, big fish
Whether I agree or disagree with the cause
No one is above the law
Interesting point is that the illegal actions were accomplished not by Healthnet, but by United Healthcare Military & Veterans Services in the west till 2017. This was the group tht Obama got into the system outbidding Healthnet for the contract with a bid of over a million dollars more. During the initial rollout of the federal health insurance marketplace, concerns were raised by critics regarding United Health Group’s acquisition of Quality Software Services, Inc. (QSSI), a key IT contractor working on the government’s data hub infrastructure for the ACA exchanges.

Remember when Obummer setup racial conditions to be federal contractors?
This is where it started.
