The Montana gunman who massacred eight family members – including four children – at a home he then torched has been ID’d as a 44-year-old relative who had been told to move out of the home, according to two of the victims’ father.
The mass shooter was identified as Alan Smith, according to Brad Ireland, whose ex-wife and two children were among those killed in the shocking rampage.
Ireland said that Smith had recently been asked by the family to move out of the home before the shooting occurred.

Since he’s a family member of a white family I’m saying he’s white.
This is hard to follow, and several reports are incomplete; but from other articles I deduce that the killer Alan Smith is the brother of Mrs. Megan Smith Ghekiere, the mother of two children; she was in a second marriage to Adam Ghekiere, who also brought two children from a former marriage.
The dinner was at the home of Megan’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who were also the parents of her brother, Alan Smith, the killer. Megan and Alan Smith’s grandmother had come to the dinner from her assisted living home, and also present were the blended Gherkiere couple’s four children, two surnamed Gherkiere and two surnamed Ireland.
Apparently Alan Smith had been freeloading on his parents, and the Smiths had given him notice to move out. This was the probable trigger for Alan shooting and setting fire to the house, in which eight of his family members died (his 2 parents, 1 granny, 1 sister, and 4 children = 8).
The alleged shooter/arsonist Alan Smith, a loner who lacked apparent employment or social skills, killed himself in the back yard when the cops approached.
The two biological dads of the children (Megan’s husband Adam Ghekiere and her ex-husband Brad Ireland) were out at work at the time of the killing.
Brad Ireland provided the information to the police about who had been at the burned home.
One of the children, Charlotte age 12, had called 911 to report the gunfire and who was firing, before she perished in the attack.
Everyone was white, in case you’re wondering.
