If only Comey had some friends or colleagues with investigative skills, he might have learned what it meant before embarrassing himself in front of the world.

Surely this is BS. Why would the FBI ask anyone - no one knows what Comey knows - they need to prove intent which is tough to do.

I think Comey stepped outside of his lane and violated the rights of the president and others in his zeal to ‘get’ DJT, and for that he should go to prison. But he’ll never see a jail cell over this dubious seashell crap.

Gravano’s testimony doesn’t prove that Comey knew “86 to be a reference to killing someone, but it’s just further evidence that it’s unlikely he was unaware. Smoking gun proof that he knew what it meant would have to be some email or communication he may have made about a case in which he referenced the term and demonstrated that he knew what it meant. In the absence of that, the more people who dealt with Comey that can attest to the term being common knowledge, the better.
The better way of convicting Comey, it seems to me, would be to prove that he didn’t “just find” the sea shells, as he claimed, but that he actually placed them there himself or directed somebody to do so. Common sense tells you he didn’t just find the sea shells on the beach, but whether some witness can be found who saw him placing them himself, or some text message can be found with him communicating that he did so is another story. But if Comey can be proven to have lied about just finding the sea shells, it would be game over for him.
Comey is an accomplished liar.

Apparently, they found the his wife’s electronic devices shows that she researched the meaning just before he happened to find the seashells that SOMEONE had left behind.

Perhaps he didn’t know... a real smart former fed prosecutor and attorney “never knowed” what 86 meant in slang terms.
Then let him be known as James Coma, a man with an intellect that matches the average resting pulse rate of a well tuned athlete...around 55 to 60 or so!
In a Pig’s eye he didn’t know what it meant!!!...perhaps he did find the shells in that configuration but he posted it and it registered with many folks on line before he deleted it!
The wife’s internet search for the term..”before” the 86 posting, I’m not sure is true or just rumor, if true, then that’s sauce for Comey’s sure to be cooked goose!
