An unhinged Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to travel to Washington, DC, to “put a bullet” in US Attorney Jeanine Pirro‘s head.
Daniel Kretsinger, of Hauppauge, New York, posted two vile and menacing videos to X on June 30, threatening violence against Pirro and further suggesting he may also attempt to assassinate President Trump, according to a criminal complaint filed earlier this month in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
“Because you’re such a lying despicable piece of s–t,” Kretsinger allegedly said in a terrifying video replying to an X post from Pirro’s account, “I’m specifically targeting you when I come to Washington, D.C., and put a bullet directly between your eyes c–t.”
Kretsinger, who was shirtless and appeared enraged in the video, then warned: “And if Trump keeps up his bulls–t I may kill the president too.”
In a second video posted minutes later, Kretsinger allegedly doubled down on his threat to kill the DC US attorney.
“I’m gonna come to DC very f—kin soon sweetheart and I’m gonna put a bullet in your f–kin head,” the crazed man said, according to the complaint. “I love you, you evil lying dirt bag thieving f–king b–h!”
Kretsinger was located and interviewed by law enforcement on July 9.
During the interview, he acknowledged the X account where the two videos were posted was his and that he had previously traveled to Washington, DC, Florida and Long Island “in efforts to find” Pirro.
An arrest warrant for Kretsinger was issued on Aug. 7 and he was taken into custody on Aug. 11. He is facing charges of transmitting a threat to injure a person across state lines, a violation of federal law that carries a maximum five-year prison sentence.

It’s unlikely that this man could or would do anything of the sort, shooting Jeanine. Yes, he made alleged attempts to find her. My cat makes stalking attacks against the neighbor’s cat but when he’s in striking distance, he suddenly stops to groom himself. Stalking is very dangerous and you don’t know who is doing it as cosplay or for real, which is why stalking is prosecuted.
You have to wonder why he’d make public threats to advertise his stalking. I have to think this is virtue signaling. To perform such a signal there has to be a platform and an audience. For him to achieve the gratification from the signal he has to know it was heard and “appreciated” which I suspect means user comments.
I’d think the more dangerous stalker is the one who stays silent, who travels without his phone, who takes photos and has maps of travel routes. We won’t know about this one until after he strikes.
I have to think the Eco chamber is the real problem. That and curated news feeds that constantly find things that reinforce the user’s belief that he has impressive support from the populace even if his views represent. o5% of the population. I suspect this reinforcement is the driving function behind the growth of gayness and trans. I think this feed reinforcement is dangerous and isn’t talked about enough. All of society seems to being going what we in the south call batshit crazy. (Of course, I may have that view because that’s all YouTube and Google show me.)

Why is this any different from a threat to anyone else no matter where it took place? Wouldn’t it still be criminal even if it wasn’t “across state lines?”

I’m not understanding how the posts on line were done on 30Jun, interview and verbal threat was made on 9Jul but he was allowed to run around until 11Aug before he was picked up? A month two weeks left on the loose to follow thorough with his threats?
