TV presenter who exposed people smugglers forced to flee home with pregnant wife after police warned of death threats

A prominent television news journalist is living under a death threat from human traffickers following a confrontation with small-boat gangsters in northern France.

Patrick Christys, who presents the Tonight current affairs show on GB News, has told The Mail on Sunday the threat is so serious that the Metropolitan Police ordered him to abandon his home in the small hours of the morning.

Christys and his heavily pregnant wife – fellow GB News presenter Emily Carver – were warned the intelligence services believed their lives were at risk because of his work exposing people smugglers in Calais. They were told to pack their bags and hide with friends.

Today, recounting his ordeal for the first time, Christys says he is angry and exasperated by the failure of the British authorities to tackle the gangs, who he says operate in plain sight.

He is also concerned his young family were exposed to danger when the Metropolitan Police disconnected their panic alarm without warning. In one chilling episode, Christys says he was tracked down on a London street by a trafficker from Calais. Twelve months on, the couple have round-the-clock security.

'This is personal for me,' he said. 'I want everyone to understand the reality of who we're letting in to our country. These human traffickers wanted to kill me in my own home while my wife was eight months pregnant.

'Who knows if they'd have tried to harm my wife and son in order to get to me? It makes me incredibly angry that we let illegals into the country – who we all pay for. Then we let those same people make millions of pounds trafficking yet more illegals to Britain.

The police didn’t arrest him? Those peelers are losing a step.

a death threat from human traffickers

Let's not jump to conclusions. That death threat could have come from the BBC.

Spot on... Smugglers are smart and they don't want to get caught and lose all that revenue... My guess is the people who are threatening him are likely leftwing lunatics of the homegrown variety. Either people working with the BBC or some other bleeding liberal news outlet who want more illegal immigrants to come to the UK.

GB News is now the most watched news channel in the UK... And it's making the leftwing socialist in the UK very angry with them.

The authorities in UKistan: "The Christys are expendable; the boats have free passage."

“GB News is now the most watched news channel in the UK...”

Very interesting. And quite likely the UKistan gov’t is working to muzzle them.

I’ll give them a follow on X if I can find them.

“...the failure of the British authorities to tackle the gangs, who he says operate in plain sight.”

In other words, the British authorities are being paid off to leave them alone. I’m surprised this guy was even warned about the death threat.

Perhaps there are different factions within the Metropolitan Police.

Northern France? It’s not the Norwegians who are being smuggled. The Frogs are dumping the invaders on Britain, which does nothing to stop it.

And thanks to the Daily Mail anyone on the planet can now identify this couple.

Studio quality head shots with good lighting and with a profile.

They will be unarmed and their private security compromised.

Only thing missing is an itinerary.

“The police didn’t arrest him? Those peelers are losing a step.”

That’s what I am thinking.

Patrick Christys, apparently, did something that pissed off the muzzies enough to kill him. Whatever he did, should be against the law.

So, Patrick, straighten up or it’s slammer time for you.
