In a major setback to efforts to ease tensions in West Asia and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Iran on Monday has ruled out any future negotiations with the Donald Trump’s administration, saying it will wait until the US President’s term ends on January 20, 2029, according to Iranian outlets and a post by an adviser to Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf.

They did not like it when POTUS Trump told them they would have to pay reparations. It is obvious who has the leverage now.
Make them squirm POTUS Trump.

Blockade the strait for ships heading to Iran
The IRGC and Mullahs have survived, for now, but they are in a very tight box.
The blockade is costing them $500 million per day. They might be able to survive the intermittent bombing that we’ve been doing, but losing that kind of money is unsustainable.
But they already said they weren’t previous talking. So they are extra not talking now?
This is starting to become a deadly serious joke... Lives will be lost and most of those lives will be Iranian. If you’re going to start a war... It would be best to finish it rather than letting it linger on and turn into a farce.

After the midterms Trump will be less restrained and he can resume the carnage assuming he doesnt do earlier. Congress may impeach him but will not be able to remove him.

The blockade doesn’t stop traffic on the Caspian, nor eastern rail routes.
The blockade does severe damage but what comes in from other sources is more than enough to sustain those running things there.
There’s only about 200K of those folks. The other 90M are the ones that will suffer.
Don’t get me wrong, blockade=good. I just don’t believe that will get them to capitulate.
Let’s hope they aren’t still around in 2029.
