The intelligence-sharing relationship between the U.S. and Ukraine has bounced back to previous highs, according to long-time Ukraine watchers — a welcome boost during a critical window of opportunity for the Ukrainian war effort.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), the intelligence committee’s ranking member and a longtime proponent of more U.S. assistance to Ukraine, told POLITICO he sees evidence of an improved intel-sharing agreement — and believes it’s helped Kyiv gain an advantage in Moscow’s four-year-long war.

I was originally thinking that Russia had been reserved and NOT played a supporting role with Iran, that China was the more exclusive culprit (surely also playing a role) but us resuming intel sharing with Ukraine is likely the result of Russia sharing with Iran, IMHO.
It's a game "tit for tat."
This is what happens when world powers clash militarily.
There is real risk of escalation (even if the original idea is a regional limited conflict) and all these things get mumble-jumbled together. You end up with "proxy wars" around the planet.
Ukraine and Russia have been fighting a high tech back and forth drone war for the past four years. The US military and US intelligence services have had front row seats.Its amazing that somehow the US has neither learned nor developed sophisticated systems to counter drones. Iran with its drones still controls the Strait ot Hormuz and the mullahs not only survive but have their foot on the neck of the world economy. Would like to know why the US military has this critical strategic deficiency.

The Trump administration has American troops in Ukraine being trained by them and the first shipment of drones from Ukraine just arrived in the U.S., and Ukraine is helping us and other countries in the Middle East, we have some catching up to do but it is getting done.
Politico says they have increased. What is the metric? What about relative impact? Where is the groovy acronym?
They need to get their act together. How about Weighted Intelligence Monthly Sharings and Year (WIMS)?
Maybe that’s why that general got sacked. He may have been the one behind the increased sharing.
the USA has its own military R&D, several locations for different types of equipment, area 51 groom lake, for aircraft ft Belvoir for vehicles. they have the means but congress made the rules on procurement, the government can’t make many products unless there are no civilian providers or union participation. it’s all about the money and jobs.

Russia’s ally in the invasion is a massive supplier to Russia huge on artillery and big on missiles.
3 years ago Ukraine drones were versions of the drones you buy at Walmart. They were not capable of using Starlink to conduct raids deep into Russian territory. In 3 years Ukraine has greatgly improved the drone technolgy and capability where the new drones can effectively use satellite intelligence merged with ram knowledge of Russian defenses and targets merged with superior maneuverability and disguise.
The US can benefit from that drone knowledge. Hormuz is a case in point. Million dollar missiles were used in Hormuz to do the task best done by thousand dollar drones. But the US lagged behine Ukraine in Drone expertise.

Because such things are mundane, not expensive, have no bragging rights, and are for peasant armies like Ukraine, Russia, and Iran.
Elite forces like th US military uses very expensive munitions and equipment that works well and shows up inferior systems, but because these things are so expensive only a few can be made. Hush, don’t tell the enemies - the numbers are top secret!
