Democratic socialists turn to Hong in Wisconsin with hopes for next big win

State Rep. Francesca Hong’s (D) steady rise in the Wisconsin gubernatorial race is teeing up the biggest test yet for democratic socialists and the far left this election cycle.

Hong has held a strong lead in the Democratic field ahead of Tuesday’s primary, while establishment Democrats, including Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, have rallied around Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.

Evers and others have suggested Hong is unlikely to beat the GOP’s presumptive nominee, Rep. Tom Tiffany, in November and that she could even have a negative effect on Democrats running in competitive downballot races.

But Hong argues that voters are frustrated with the establishment and that she’s focused on the issues that matter most to voters as she seeks to become the first modern democratic socialist governor.

“When people tell me that I’m one of them as the working-class candidate, what Democrats might be — and what other candidates might be getting wrong — is that people want someone that cares,” Hong told The Hill in an interview.

Democratic socialists and progressives have been on a tear this year, clinching primary nominations and even unseating Democratic incumbents.

The Socialists are on the march in America. This is not good and having seen it in the UK and EUrope this is just the beginning.

Not all of them will lose so good chance the more avowed Marxists will hold office

Maybe the El-Sayed victory next door will scare them.

Turning the state over to the Chinese Communist Party is worst than the Scamalis

I guess the next Little House on the Prairie reboot is going to be on a collective farm and feature a story line in which Half Pint reports Charles and Laura for anti-Communist thought crimes.

A vote for ANY Democrat, Dogcatcher to President, is a VOTE AGAINST AMERICA!

IF YOU CAN’T VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN, DON’T VOTE!

So, they decided to lose the general election. Fine with me.

Hong is unlikely to beat the GOP’s presumptive nominee, Rep. Tom Tiffany, in November...

This is exactly why folks should just shut up until next Wednesday. Tiffany is a superior choice, but, in my observation, a poor campaigner. He needs the extreme contrast that Hong will provide.

They actually think it’s for the good some of their policies.... At least they’re honest than the other half who all themselves moderates.

Down to the voters to reject them but i’m sure a few will slip by

It will be an interesting bell weather if El-Sayed can win the retiring Gary Peters (D) open Michigan Senate seat in the Fall. I suspect Progressive Socialist Communist candidates don’t enjoy state-wide support enough to win in a general Fall election but Michigan has disappointed me before, like when Gretchen Whitmer (D) won re-election as Governor here.

The good news is that maybe this muzzie trend will kick the GOPe/Uniparty/RINO class in the political buttocks real hard and knock many more of them out of office. The ousting of Cornyn is a perfect example, WE WANT MORE.

Did you? I don’t recall that. I recall the vibe being that he always led the fractured field, and had to much momentum by the time Adams dropped out, then Sliwa’s refusal to drop out.

I take comfort that Wisconsin rats have nominated someone who is literally a certified nut

The right wing establishment media is using the horror on the left to highlight how radical MAGA is just as serious. It’s disgusting.
