MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police arrested a man Wednesday evening who they said punched and pushed protesters at the intersection where Corey Ruiz was shot and killed.
Police said the 31-year-old man entered the intersection of Williamson and Baldwin streets at around 5:15 p.m. and began cursing at the crowd and kicking signs. He pushed one person and punched another.
Officers were reportedly able to view the incident as it was happening using a police drone. Protest organizers were able to detain the man and called police for assistance.
The man was arrested and faces charges of substantial battery, battery and disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer.
News 3 Now is not naming the man at this time as part of a policy not to name people accused of crimes until they have been formally charged in court. He is currently being held in the Dane County Jail.

He shouldn’t have pushed the Bolshevik in the face.
Me too. “Love is Love”, “This Home Has No Hate” and all that jazz
Madison police won’t arrest any PROTESTERS, but if you dare
PROTEST the protesters, you’ll be arrested and go straight to jail!
The topsy-turvy world we live in.
Thought Crime. Noice they now call it an “enhanced”.
Enough with that crap about “hate crime”. Why is it worse to be murdered because you’re black, than say, just murdered?
Are these the same bastard communists endlessly rioting and “protesting” against LEO esp. ICE?
Bastards. They crap all over them, then come screaming for them when they get blowback.
What is also coming out (again) during the Fauci hearings is that while the rest of us were locked down by government mandate, large “George Floyd” street protests were allowed to go on.
Then there is the two-tiered justice system when it comes to lefties vs. conservatives:
“1,500 people were arrested over J6 and were sentenced to an average of 2 years. By contrast 98% of arrests during the George Floyd protests were dismissed with no charges despite 200X the property damage of J6 and over 2,000 Law Enforcement Officers injured during the riots.”
I’m finding it difficult to care
I’ve been through Madison and that particular area seems to be all old hippies, democrat government bureaucrats, ridiculous woke college students and their insane marxist professors.
Let them experience a little bit of the chaos they offer to the rest of us.
Am I wrong?
lol!
Excellent point. We talked about the rioting in 2020 a lot, while we were locked down.
I’m still so p*ssed over the CovidBS-19 SCAM it just makes my blood boil whenever I think about it all. Grrrr!
“Let them experience a little bit of the chaos they offer to the rest of us. Am I wrong?”
You are not wrong.
This is not going to end well. For anyone. It could last up until the first snowfall, depending upon who keeps funding this nonsense.
Gonna be a hard sell to sell existing Real Estate in that area after this. Lots of nice Condos there now, too.
Same old shit! Arrest the patriot who confronted the commie protesters. The cops ought to be ashamed of themselves.
