More Muslims, fewer Jews can feel comfortable.

The exodus from Canada is particularly startling because one never associated it with bigotry. Its history of slavery, while not entirely non-existent, isn't in the same ballpark as in the rest of the Americas. When you imagine social strife, it's more along the lines of English-speaking Canadians being harangued by French speakers who never got over losing the Seven Years' War.
Jerks. Get over it.
Canada has an antisemitism problem. As of mid-July, B’nai Brith had documented 27 violent antisemitic incidents so far this year, compared with 10 during all of 2025. As The Free Press’s Rupa Subramanya reported in June, Jews account for about one percent of Canada’s population of 41.6 million, but were the targets of more hate crimes reported by police in 2024 than all other religious groups combined.
Over the weekend, two locations of Jewish-owned Kiva’s Bagel Bakery in Toronto were attacked, including one with gunfire. Last week, police charged a pro-Palestinian demonstrator who encouraged terrorism and “harm against members of the Israeli and Jewish communities” at protests in Toronto in 2024, alleging that he was associated with Hamas.
Canadian prime minister Mark Carney has said that “Canada’s civic compact is failing Jewish Canadians” and that his government “is fully committed” to ending “the crisis of antisemitism in Canada today.” But it is too little, too late for some Jewish Canadians.
From renowned physicians and educators to entrepreneurs and community leaders, Canada is losing some of its most extraordinary citizens because they no longer feel welcome or safe in the place they called home. Jews from Canada and several other countries recently asked the U.S. State Department to allow them to immigrate as refugees or under another form of protected status, though no decision has been announced. Aliyah from Canada rose 51 percent between 2023 and 2025, reaching a record high, according to the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem.
An average of more than 10,000 Canadians are leaving the country every month, the highest level of emigration in Canada’s recorded history, according to the federal government. Those numbers are not broken down by religion or other groups, but many of those who are leaving are well-paid and highly educated.
Canada, like most Western countries, has seen a huge spike in hostility to Jews and a worrying increase in violence directed against them. For a country that has been growing like hotcakes—its population has grown by about 30% over the past 25 years, almost entirely due to immigration—the outflow of high-income earners to greener pastures should be worrisome.
It's importing people with worse education and fewer skills while it exports high-wage earners, and a good chunk of those are Jews.
Unfortunately, the increasing hostility to Jews is not just a Canadian or European phenomenon. Nearly four years of relentless propaganda has left its mark on the United States as well, and you are starting to see that in election results.

Still, the United States is one of the few places in the world where high-skill and highly-educated people can truly flourish, and it remains one of the destinations where Jews fleeing hostility still migrate. Along with Israel, of course.
It's scary to see how effective the propaganda has been, and how quickly it has taken hold.
Note that as soon as a Jewish organization chains itself to the left, it becomes completely neutered by the need to meet antisemitic purity tests that insist they're only good Jews if they support a 35-year-old man who brags about wanting to kill them.

It's depressing to see what has happened in so short a time. It's as if our critical faculties have eroded and people have lost their moral immune systems.

Phoenix has a large Orthodox Jewish population, but we have a growing number of Muslims. The reflexive Jew aversion among non-Muslims does not seem to be as present here, and the resources (synagogues, schools, kosher restaurants/bakeries/delis/markets) are well-established.
Florida might also be an option for the time being.
I am working on the assumption that most observant Jews want resources to met their social and personal needs. That is one reason why you do not see a whole lot of rural or southern Jews. (I do not know how observant Barry Farber was, but it certainly was part of his identity)

The general rule seems to be that any Jew who is assimilated and removed from his or her “roots” or Torah knowledge or even the Hebrew language have a tendency to be Liberal...and...stupid.
Jews who uphold the teachings from the Torah know who they are and vote conservatively.
