Trump will meet with whomever he wants. Vance can’t literally block it. But I could see some internal discussions causing Trump to decide to wait for now. Trump should distance from Bibi at this point. We don’t need IDF planes right now and IDF involvement will just complicate other negotiations. Bibi needs Trump, as the Israeli elections are coming. But Trump will probably throw a bone when the timing is better.
Of course, Israel will do what Israel think is best for Israel just like Trump will do what Trump thinks is best for the US. They are often in alignment but not always. We have similar but sometimes divergent interests and timing.
JD Vance pathetic bashing tactics on July 15 didn’t earn him any applause even on the left. They just see it as part of Fuentes/Carlson/Charlottesville2017.
