Timing wise, closer to the election would be better for this to be released, to remind everyone how corrupt the democrat party actually is....
Late July it will be long forgotten by November.. but October, that would remind everyone just how much the lied and covered up and corrupt they are.

it appears axios “obtained” the tapes, though it seems they haven’t been “officially released” ... nonetheless, they’re out there for anyone who wants to listen to them or use them ...

I’m not so excited about this case. Everyone knows what a vegetable Joe was over the last year of his administration, if not longer. Why do we need more evidence?
Even if they were to pass it, there are leftist judges queued up in the wings to immediately strike it down or at least put injunctions in place so that it would not be effective this year.
All 4 years, and China and the rest of the world knew it and took full advantage - not good.
Remember all the coverage about Trump getting angry about Marjorie Taylor Greene for voting to release the Epstein files? Tonight’s evening news coverage (or lack thereof) of
the judge’s decision not to block the release of the Hur tape should educate us how much the main stream media thinks this is news worthy of reporting.
I think they consider this to be the antidote to racism.
I think that Americans and Europeans became obsessed with racism as a reaction to the civil rights struggle in America. Most people recoiled in horror at the oppression of Black America and determined to oppose such oppression by any means necessary and to support any remedial action whatsoever.
In Europe, this was in part a negative reaction the the USA, which, as the liberator of Europe in World Wars I and II, had been considered a pristine, heroic paragon of virtue, and many Europeans, at least on some level, were delighted to have reason to disparage America and prove her to be no better than the European nations.
Unfortunately, a commitment to DEI and the rejection of racism as the supreme virtue required the sacrifice of truth as the supreme virtue. This results in a multitude of unintended consequences.
Political corruption is one.
Another is the undermining of Western Civilization itself.
The quest for Truth--Truth for its own sake--is the foundation of Western Civilization and the source of all its countless miracles.
Scorn of Truth is the evil most fundamental to the decadence of Western Civilization.
It is also the fatal flaw in the "liberal"/"progressive"/"woke" movement and way of thinking. Although these people may mean well, in allowing their good intentions to take precedence over Truth they have descended into untruth, political corruption, and other evils which if they think clearly they will clearly reject in favor of Truth.
The age old adage holds true: "The Road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
To paraphrase the voice of Krishna to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita: Although you mean well, your rejection of Truth has led you into dangerous and destructive delusion.
Hur should be sitting in jail for falsely reporting about Joe Biden - declining to charge Biden and giving him a pass:
Who could forget this proclamation from Hur as to why he recommended not pressing charges against Biden:
“Hur determined that Biden’s memory lapses and diminished faculties during interviews made it unlikely the government could prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Calling Biden a ‘sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.’”
Yet about Trump on the same issue (mishandling classified document), Hur said this:
“Trump ‘refused to return the documents for many months’ and ‘obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and then to lie about it.’”
