According to THE GREAT AI...a MOAB (being an air blast) doesn’t register on the Richter scale. If the same energy was detonated in the earth...it might register a 1 or a 2.
A 4.9 would be about 1,000 to 10,000 times more energy than a MOAB.
Either a quake or they tested a nuke.

AI is right. I set off a 500,000 TNT blast (air blast) at the Utah Test and Training Range and it registered as a 2.4 earthquake in Salt Lake City which is 80 miles away.
