Vulnerabilities in Electronic Voting and Ballot-Counting Systems
White House ^ | 07, 16, 2026 | US GOV

Posted on 07/16/2026 6:50:54 PM PDT by Red6

For years Americans were blatantly lied to about the security of our election infrastructure, including electronic voting machines and ballot-counting systems.

We are releasing a series of previously-classified U.S. Intelligence Community Assessments and other reports proving that our government has long known these machines are extremely exposed to attack.

As one assessment states: “We judge that U.S. adversaries, including at a minimum Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, as well as non-state groups, have the capability to compromise U.S. election infrastructure.” The documents also state:

“We assess that centralized election-related data repositories, such as voter registration databases, pollbooks, and official election websites, are most vulnerable to exploitation, and adversaries could use access to these systems to disrupt election processes.”

Tonight, we are releasing all of these findings, spanning from January 2020 to June 2026. This is a cyber threat aimed at the very heart of our democracy.

My input.

There is no way to make a digital system secure and transparent. Period.

You cannot do it.

Elections need to be old fashioned - in person, on card-stock, signed and I would add a finger print.

Digital technology can be helpful in elections, but as so often is the case, we attempt to push the technology BEYOND its useful / practical limits.

Use digital technology to assist in preventing multiple voting (one person = one vote), use it to exclude ineligible people (illegals, felons on parole, etc).

Remember when the left called us Russian bots online...now anyone claiming no rigged election will be getting the you’re a chicom bot response. If we flood social media with that we can turn the tide against rigged election deniers.

I find that in general, the more someone knows about systems, the less they trust electronic voting machines. Which says a lot.

I know a fair amount, 6 or 7 on a 10 scale.

Paper ballots, hand counted.

The mail in ballots, except for the original absentee ballot reasons, have to be stopped.

I thought Trump did a very good job in making his case about the insecurities in US elections. And I particularly liked how he took shots at the news networks that failed to broadcast his speech.

We can agree all day long but until the people we elected to represent us actually do we may as well be pissing in the wind.

There is an alternative though. Exercise the Second Amendment. It has come to that or very near time to water the old tree of liberty.

The problem is more fundamental. Liberals lie and cheat. Conservatives tend not to. Unfortunately, conservatives must lie and cheat back. It is an electoral arms race.

I could not find his speech live on any channels on Roku. May be Fox News had it, but I cancelled cable TV long ago.

When Trump mentioned that people in the media were paid large sums of money to write negative stories about him, I wish he would have named names.

There is no way to make a digital system secure and transparent. Period.

That is only true of centralized systems, and most physical methods are centralized as well. The real fix is a decentralized method like blockchain based voting. With a blockchain system you would have immediate, transparent, real-time voting results visible to everyone (no trusting or waiting on the media or vote counters). You'd be able to see your own vote in the blockchain and that it is registering your choices correctly, without anyone else knowing it was your vote. Everyone would have visibility to results by units like precincts or districts, such as how many votes were cast to compare with voter rolls. It would just be a matter of securing who can cast a vote, which is a vulnerability with any method and should be addressed by the SAVE act and similar controls.

For most of my adult life our local voting precincts were 800 people, the registered voters produced were checked off of a printed voters list, had their id Verified with a drivers license and were given a paper ballot to vote on

The polls closed at 7pm and the votes were totaled and verified by 10pm

The chicanery began with Obama and has gotten worse and worse since then

They need to play up how these 5 vulnerabilities would help CCP to manipulate DSA over “more moderate” Democrats.

But all those Secretaries of State certified that the vote count was true and accurate! They told us the 2020 election was the most secure election ever. Are you suggesting that they committed purjury and validated a chaotic process that lacked integrity?

Why, if that were true, the election would need to be voted on by the Congress on January 6th, since the popular vote was unreliable. I guess it was just a coincidence that the only legitimate process that could have decided the vote count was sabotaged by morons that were let into the Capitol building by the Capitol police.

The sexiest part of the speech was turning it over to the FBI and DOJ for investigation, and if appropriate, PROSECUTION.

That is a lot of people. Particularly in the intelligence community. Some will be leaving the country this month.
