It is important that Iran is unmasked as the belligerent and not willing to make any compromises, that they are not pragmatic and reasonable and them having a nuke in their hands is out of question.
Without having gone through a sincere effort to make a deal and avert what comes next, no matter how bad it will be, it would be even worse.
The process of negotiating in earnest creates legitimacy for what happens next.
If we take this all the way to it's end, this will take time and will be ugly.
It will have to be more than bridges and "energy targets" (i.e. power production).
We should hit desalination plants, aqueducts, water towers, water purification plants, irrigation systems, dams, rail engines, major microwave towers, communications nodes, oil wells, pipelines, storage tanks and refineries, bridges, tunnels, water locks, take out every aircraft, barge, ship spotted, target key scientists and engineers, hit their mining, whatever factories they have, major transformer stations, power lines and plants, rail stations, go after the government bureaucracy (i.e. all the operating systems that keep society running: property deeds, courts, police stations...), try to bomb prisons as to allow people to get out, take out TV, radio, print media, drop hundreds of billions of Rial over all the major cities (literally make it rain money), destroy cranes in harbors, major agra equipment (think combine etc), major warehouses where we can reasonably believe it has a value, crater airfields...
Those areas that are critical and you think rebuilding will happen, mine them. Use a persistent, non-magnetic, over pressure resistant, mix of AP and AT mines with the the AP mines having fine fiber optic wires, both having a mix of anti-handling devices. Keep it interesting and fun for them.
Basically, EVERYTHING needs to become a target (near total war) except: civilian residential areas, hospitals, mosques, schools, and cultural heritage sites, (((IF))) their protected status is not violated.
The only consideration is if it's one of the aforementioned exemptions AND if the cost of destruction exceeds the value of the target. Try to use the cheapest "safe for our troops" method against the various targets. From hereon out, look at it in trying to maximize a negative (for them) ROI.
What is the objective?
Reduce Iran to the point where it becomes exceedingly difficult for them to project force as in the past.
It takes (((money))), logistics, command and control, engineers and scientists, electrical power, communications, manufacturing, to be able to build a nuke, back the Houti's in Yemen, the Shia militia's in Iraq, the Muslim groups in Nigeria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, to build larger (long range and heavy payload) missiles and drones in large quantities.
Reduce them far enough, and you start taking away their ability to fight as a somewhat tech and industrial savvy nation. You take away their money and with that much of their help from outside (China and Russia) and what they can do in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq and Nigeria.
Exactly.
I approve of this plan. Make it happen.
Should have happened months ago.
Rail. Highways. Airports. Power plants.
Whatever civilian infrastructure you hit expect Iran to retaliate by striking similar civilian infrastructure in Israel. And Iran has the hypersonic missiles to do that too.
Shut the country down.
Gonna get real dark soon ..
Facts on the ground.
The Pentagon publicly stated it wants $80-200 billion tax dollars to cover costs of the Iranian war including “Munitions Replenishment.”
All this Iranian “peace and prosperity” comes at a steep price for US taxpayers.
The US and Israel estimated 10,000 bombing sorties rapidly exhausted valuable, high-end US weapon stockpiles, and $billions of tax dollars are required to restock the US arsenal for other global threats that might endanger American families.
The war has critically depleted US stockpiles of key precision-guided missiles and interceptors to defend American families due to sustained Mideast conflicts.
Replenishing US military arsenals is expected to take 1-6 years. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) highlight the depletion levels of critical US munitions.
<>Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM): At least 45% of the stockpile has been used.
<>THAAD Interceptors: At least 50% of the inventory is depleted.
<>Patriot Air Defense: Nearly 50% of the stockpile has been expended.
<>Tomahawk Missiles: Roughly 30% of the arsenal has been utilized.
Defense analysts note that ramping up arms manufacturing faces structural bottlenecks, including long lead times for specialized materials, workforce constraints, and supply chain issues.
Even with expanded capacity, it will take major defense contractors—such as Lockheed Martin and RTX—several years to rebuild pre-war inventory levels earmarked to protect American families.
Near-Term Vulnerability: The depletion of long-range capabilities poses a potential risk should a conflict arise in another theater, such as the Indo-Pacific or other theaters of aggression that endanger American families.
Make it so.

How will it be difficult? IRGC doesn't need anything in your laundry list of targets to do their damage, just drones and explosives. Their petrochemical plants used to produce explosives are massive and you want to waste bombs on civilian water supply. Drones are imported and domestic manufacturing centers are now spread out in lots of basements.
why is the government not being targetted? we know where they meet and we know where they all live.
destroy their homes and where they work.
I’ll 2nd that!!!
Enough talk, just do it!!!
I disagree with your target list.
Bombing predominantly civilian tagets is a War Crime under the Geneva Convention Article 52 of the 1977 Protocal. Please note that US Military officers MUST Disobey orders to bomb such targets.
This would include bombing most desalination plants, aqueducts, water towers, water purification plants, irrigation systems, dams, rail engines, communications nodes, many oil wells, pipelines, storage tanks and refineries, most bridges, tunnels, etc. Also most major transformer stations, power lines and plants.
We did the same thing during WW2.
Starting with those that have the highest economic value, especially with regard to Iran’s trade with China. Once China tells them to cut the crap, it will be cut.
All of those can be used by the military…therefore they are targets.
Most respectfully, what you wrote was wrong.
Yes, we bombed many such targets in WWII. But times have changed and so has the law. We now have the 1949 Geneva Convention and the 1977 Protocols. I suggest you read up on these documents and their significance.
Bombing power plants, etc, is indeed okay. But oinly if the power plants are for military, or predominantly military, purposes.
Knocking out the power for a huge city of 10 million people, such as Tehran (as President Trump is threatening to do) is a War Crime, because most of the power is not used for military purposes, such as in factories that make missles. It is especially essential that power is maintained for food distribution, water supply, sewage treatment, and medical services.
And ALL US Military personnel MUST Disobey any illegal order he may give, such as causing widespread disruption of Iran’s civilian power supply.
We can obtain a few tankers of oil to sell on the open market I’m sure.....any amount of money is a pittance in comparison to eradicating these inbred satanic muzzie bastards. Kill em all anywhere you find them....anywhere
