Britons would face wartime-style rationing of meat, dairy, petrol and flying under plans being drawn up by the Green Party, which could be drawn into a coalition agreement with Andy Burnham's Labour.
The extreme policies, being drafted by officials working for leader Zack Polanski ahead of the party's annual conference this autumn, propose state-controlled cuts of 50 per cent in the amount of miles driven by each person and a cut of 70 per cent in miles flown.
The party admitted that rationing would have a 'whiff of wartime' and 'catch the front pages'.
One motion being prepared calls on the Government to 'introduce means for a fair distribution of meat, dairy food, petrol and diesel and flights', with each person 'entitled to, but limited to' an allowance which would 'diminish year on year', with a 'policy of rationing' alongside extra green levies.
According to the party's Climate Emergency Policy Working Group, ministers should 'drastically reduce flying for leisure purposes', while 'guaranteeing road users an amount, but a decreasing amount, of petrol or diesel'.
It adds that Green politicians should face the fact that 'it will not be OK to fly, drive and eat meat and dairy products at anything like present levels'.
Allies of Mr Burnham, including Energy Secretary Ed Miliband, have opened up back-channel communication with the Greens with a view to entering an agreement, potentially alongside the Liberal Democrats, if Mr Burnham fails to win a majority at the next General Election.
The controversial coalition plans come just days after Mr Polanski denied intimidating British Jews with his demand that the Government track those who fought for Israel in Gaza over 'war crimes'.

Green on the outside, red on the inside.
.
”Green” on the outside
but RED on the inside!
They love to make people suffer for absolutely nothing
Keep taking it.
Zack Polanski, the Democrats dream candidate/president.
There would seem to reason for either party to team up. Greens get responsibility of governing and Labour has a super-majority already.
Their new replacement population knows how to take what they want, the servile native born will have much of their rationed goods taken from them, grandma might have a hard time getting groceries home.
Good. Let them suffer from their BS.

He (it?) has all the appropreate cool stuff going, greasy hair, a week of stubble and I would bet we are better off with a photo that being downwind...
.
At least the Greens will raise the chocolate ration to 20 grams per week.
"It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grammes a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be REDUCED to twenty grammes a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it." Orwell, 1984, part 1 Ch 4
For a moment I hoped they'd try it, but then I realized they'd get away with it.
Beat me to it.
52 seconds. I shouldn’t have left the Italians on...
Sounds like there would be a lot of Nicolae Ceaușescus
Sounds like San Angeles under the rule of Dr. Raymond Cocteau in Demolition Man(1993) , Taco Bell anyone ? LOL
“Britons would face wartime-style rationing of meat, dairy, petrol and flying under plans being drawn up by the Green Party, which could be drawn into a coalition agreement with Andy Burnham’s Labour.”
UK deserves whatever happens to it, given how they keep voting in fascists to control their lives ...
Commies believe everyone should have plenty. Plenty of nothing.
