Even almost three years after that cursed day - more and more details continue to emerge about the diabolical planning of the architect of the massacre, Yahya Sinwar. This evening (Sunday) we published in the "Central Edition" excerpts from a document that Sinwar wrote about a year before October 7, in which he described the brutal attack in detail.
The terrorists that Sinwar targeted for every settlement and intersection. Nothing on the morning of October 7 was spontaneous, but rather a meticulous and orderly plan that was meticulously and secretly planned. The document, written by Sinwar himself and in his own handwriting, describes a plan that includes going down to the smallest detail, mapping the population, the kibbutzim/settlements, military junctions and areas, and assigning action squads according to Hamas's goals.
The key to the success of the invasion, in Sinwar's understanding, is taking control of key junctions in the south, and this is how he planned: "Breaching the perimeter fence in 25 breaches against 25 junctions simultaneously. Taking control of the junctions using separate, well-trained squads - each squad has 100 fighters. In total, 2,500 fighters."

Sinwar designated terrorists for every kibbutz/settlement and intersection - and defined how many needed to breach the border "The goal is to expel the settlers[sic] (residents of the south) with their cars," Sinwar added on another page. "Priority is given to children and women. The men aged 17-50 are being taken hostage. All phones and any other documents they are carrying on their bodies must be taken."
Hamas terrorists also kidnapped women and children and murdered many along the way: women, men, and children, exactly as Sinwar had demanded in an earlier document. 3,100 Hamas terrorists broke into Israel on the morning of October 7 in three waves, joined by 580 Islamic Jihad terrorists.
But originally, Sinwar's plan was to inject a large number, at least three times as many terrorists, and this is how he outlined it: 2,210 terrorists will be assigned to 221 kibbutzim and small communities. He designates 1,600 terrorists to 8 larger communities. He assigns another 2,000 militants to military bases. Together with the 2,500 terrorists who were supposed to take over the junctions, he concluded and wrote: "In total, 10,000 well-trained fighters (will invade)."
Sinwar expected 10,000 terrorists to invade Israel.
And what did Sinwar expect Israel's response to be? It's hard not to be impressed by the madness of the plan, especially when the arch-terrorist took into account that Israel's response could be the harshest possible.
Under the definition "Defense Plan," Sinwar wrote: "The enemy will not hesitate to use the means and weapons at his disposal. Not only through attacks, but also through other means. He may even use a nuclear bomb. But first he will be surprised by the attack and will enter into chaos. To be on the safe side, a popular operation must be organized to return to the villages and symbolically reconquer them. This campaign is a life or death system, and there will be life with Allah's help."
Sinwar understands and writes that Israel may use an atomic bomb, and yet, the man endangers millions of Palestinians, his people, with his eyes open. "He descends to the level of individuals, of squads, of ten terrorists who infiltrate Israel," says Dr. Haim Isarovits of the Amit Institute for Terrorism and Intelligence Research. "Another thing, very important - is the establishment of the narrative. 'We are essentially implementing the right of return here.'" And this is indeed the narrative that Sinwar is trying to market to the world in parallel with the massacre: the return to Palestine is being realized at the expense of the State of Israel.
The full document will be published in the coming days by the Amit Institute for Terrorism and Intelligence Research at the Palestinian National Authority, and it provides further evidence of Hamas' excessive self-confidence and the deep conviction that the invasion will lead to the unification of the arenas, and ultimately, the destruction of Israel.

It was patently obvious that Hamas was going to attack Israel on October 7th the young Israeli women soldiers monitoring the cameras saw the preps of the perps.
Their higher ups did not listen to their warnings Israel needs an independent investigation and someone with guts to ask tough questions of those higher up the chain of command.

If true, that seems to imply at least a couple of hundred terrorist leaders would have to have known (at some level) about the plan ahead of time - even as fanatical as those people are, it surprises me at least to some degree that they were able to maintain secrecy, especially given the extent that Mossad has been able to compromise other terrorist groups in the Middle East.

Good that he is no longer taking in nourishment nor sucking in oxygen.
What a godawful person to breathe the same oxygen as his victims. Good thing he’s dead. His victims are still suffering and will for the rest of their lives. And that’s the victims still living.
I like snakes if non poisonous. They kill vermin. I kill the poisonous snakes on my land if near my home. They are a danger to my family. I just kill them. It is necessary. There are poisonous snakes in Iran. Just kill them. The vast majority of Iranian citizens are good people and also suffer from the snakes in control.

A New York woman accused of leading a radical extremist group and posing with hand grenades in front of a Hamas flag has been arrested after allegedly funneling tens of thousands of dollars to a Palestinian terrorist organization.
Catherine Beth Washburn, 37, of Irondequoit, a suburb of Rochester, is charged with attempting to provide material support to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
Washburn was the leader of the Direct Action Movement for Palestinian Liberation (DAMPL), a radical organization formed in the wake of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, according to the Justice Department.
The federal complaint noted that DAMPL rejects peaceful protests, opting instead for “direct action,” including property destruction and acts of sabotage against entities it associates with Israel.
Communications recovered by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force revealed messages to a person claiming to be an active PIJ fighter in Gaza, where Washburn allegedly said she hated Jewish people “very much” and wished Israel “would disappear.”
“I wish every day were October 7th,” Washburn is accused of writing in one exchange. “If I lived in Gaza, I would fight alongside the resistance.”
Later, she allegedly said she felt “excited every time I see news of the killing of an occupation soldier.”
U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo said Washburn went to “great lengths” to finance violence, driven by “her self-described hate of Israel and Jewish people.”
Financial records show she sent roughly 80 cryptocurrency transfers totaling more than $30,000 to an account used by the PIJ fighter.

For me the larger question is what was UNRWA expecting. What we all saw was them being beyond serial killer level evil.
Shitrit described the directive as a "strange message," noting that it was highly unusual for a frontline operational battalion to suspend patrols, especially as the region was already on edge. The cancellation coincided with the opening hours of the Hamas incursion into Israel.
TEL AVIV (Dispatches) -- An Israeli soldier stationed near the Gaza fence has testified that he and fellow troops were ordered not to carry out their routine early morning patrol on October 7, 2023, the day Hamas launched a large-scale assault on Israeli military outposts and nearby settlements, according to new Israeli media reports cited by The Cradle.
Shalom Sheetrit, a soldier in the Golani Brigade, revealed the unusual directive during a session held by the reserve personnel lobby in the Israeli Knesset. The order effectively canceled the usual patrol along the fence until 9 a.m., a critical window during which Hamas’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, crossed into Israeli occupied territory and launched deadly attacks on army bases and kibbutzim.
“We were playing on the phone at 5:20 a.m. when suddenly a strange message came from my battalion commander,” Sheetrit said. “He said something like, ‘I don’t know why, but an order was issued that there are no patrols at the fence until nine in the morning.’” He added that such patrols were routine for his battalion, integral to border security.
The Pega outpost, where Sheetrit and his unit were based, was heavily targeted in the assault known as Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. Hamas fighters reportedly killed 14 Israeli soldiers there. The outpost was responsible for guarding Kibbutz Be’eri, which also suffered an attack resulting in the deaths of over 100 Zionists.
Asked whether the canceled patrols explained why many soldiers were still asleep when the attack began, Sheetrit said he was uncertain. “In our mortar department, there was an alert at dawn, and we woke up. It’s possible that in the patrol departments, they were told not to wake up. I don’t know,” he explained.
