Three tankers were struck by projectiles Tuesday in the Strait of Hormuz, the British military said, in the latest attacks targeting vessels moving through the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf.
One of the tankers was traveling off the coast of Oman and caught fire, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center. Iranian state television said the liquefied natural gas tanker came under attack after ignoring warnings but did not directly claim the assault.
Two other tankers were also hit, including one that was struck by a drone. It was not immediately clear where they were at the time of the attacks. Both of those ships sustained some damage, but no one was injured, the maritime agency said. At least one of the vessels continued on its way.

Looks like the admin has yet to confirm the circumstances behind any of these reports.
I’d keep my powder dry...
Fake news, Trump says we are in control. /sarc
The US military apparently does not have or is unable to deploy an effective anti drone system to guarantee safe passage through th Strait of Hormuz. The only viable solution th remove the mullah stranglehold on the world economy is regime change.
THIS!!
Why we took our foot off the gas, I DO NOT KNOW!!

It is someone else’s gulf, and they have all the money in the world to defend it. Defending someone elses commercial traffic is something the USN does, but it does not have to.
Ankle biter yapping little dog bump.
Tankers were struck they say. I read that headline in Cfp too
They can specify where the tankers are from but they donโt.
โ tanker came under attack after ignoring warnings but did not directly claim the assault.โ
Is that even a sentence?
Projectiles could be anything from a rock to a F-16...............
Arm the tankers with AA and this will stop.
AP is quoting the British Military
Why? Were they involved in the attacks?
FWIW, we’ve had no confirmation that any damage was from incoming.
Let me pose a question...
What if the damage was due to sabotage by someone on board...?
If so, is that an act if war, or a security issue for the ship owner...?
Still think we should wait to see what the admin says.
Assumptions are worthless.
You’ve asked an excellent question.
Whyever would the UK’s Deep State want to stick its oar in...?
It was maddening. TRUSTING PAKISTAN? Crazy.
And then there’s insurance fraud...
The Bits USED t have a navy! ๐๐๐๐๐
Perhaps because Trump has enemies, and potential enemies, in the area of conflict as well as fully capable enemies at home.
Similar to that in VN where we clearly won the war in the field but later "lost" in the Congress, Iran has ripened into a new type of war, where the goal is to neutralize the strongest nation in the world.
Exactly like VP Marine Corporal Vance told Trump, before Trump publicly called him disloyal, it will take boots on the ground to eliminate Iran's ability to close the strait. Vance was right, and Trump's arrogance and moral impotence created this unfinished mess.
I don't believe God will grant Trump a victory over the biblical "prince of persia" because he "tolerates jezebel" (Hillary).
Maybe the Royal Navy should tow one of its 5 destroyers to Hormuz as a show of force.
