Flames erupted on the Brooklyn Bridge as fireworks were being shot from it during Macy’s July 4 display over the East River.
Video shows a plume of smoke emerging from a flaming section of the bridge as fireworks soar and burst around it Saturday night. Two other sections also appeared to burn as the pyrotechnics were being shot from the span.

What part of that bridge is flammable? I’ve driven over it many times. Never saw a decent fuel source.
The tubes of the already-shot fireworks DO often catch fire. Not a big deal. Bunch of cardboard and a little wood burns.
It’ll be interesting to see if this was really anything or not.

Do people know this evening’s show was forced to start early and finish earlier. Less than 45 min. Now people are saying it was a worry about rain and lightning, yet rain will begin in about 45 min. No one watching had a drop fall on them. It is interesting that City Hall is blaming the NOAA and NYPD. Yet I am fully convinced that Mamdani and his commie coterie are responsible since it is known he wanted to diminish the city’s celebration. Can’t wait for 9/11
