Billionaire Tech Mogul Peter Thiel Warns Woke AI Company Anthropic Could Rig 2028 Election for Democrats

Billionaire technology Peter Thiel warned that AI company Anthropic could use its technological advantage to influence the 2028 presidential election in favor of Democrats.

Speaking at the Aspen Ideas Festival, Thiel suggested that Anthropic, which he described as a “woke liberal company,” was “winning the AI race” and could use its advanced AI models to “rig the elections in 2028.”

Thiel, who co-founded both PayPal and Palantir, argued he company would be able to “completely outwit” any efforts by Elon Musk to counter it through X because of the power of its technology.

Anthropic has declined to comment, referring reporters to a previous blog post on election integrity and political bias.

The company has clashed with the Trump administration, which has even designated it a “supply chain risk” because of the restrictions it wants to place on military programs.

CEO Dario Amodei is known for his left-wing views and has likened President Trump to a “feudal warlord.”

Thiel also rejected claims that Palantir operates as part of the federal government’s so-called “deep state,” describing the company’s leadership as “loyal-dissident-type people.”

He added that neither he nor Palantir CEO Alex Karp holds a government security clearance.

Back in May, it was reported that Thiel, who has a net worth of around $25 billion, had moved his family to Argentina amid growing concern about the “long-term direction” of America.

While Thiel has not spoken publicly about the move, he is said to have purchased a sprawling mansion in Buenos Aires and enrolled his children in local schools.

A word of advice for Trump and the rest of the Republicans for the 2026 and 2028 elections.

Learn from history about what works currently in moving public opinion.

In 2016 Trump used primarily Twitter to cut thru the media and talk directly to the public, his team also used the analytics of Facebook to target low propensity voters in key battleground states, the strategy was extremely successful, so successful Trump was banned from Twitter and Facebook.

In 2024, Trump used social media podcasters to reach voters, that strategy was also extremely successful, especially when he was running against a person who cackles every time, she is interviewed by a podcaster or member of the media.

IMO, AI will be the key in 2026 and especially in 2028 in reaching voters in unconventional ways.

Use Anthropic, Grok, etc., to your advantage, you must assume the other side is using these tools to their advantage.

None of this stuff can be good...

We can’t even stop mail in voting...I fear we have no hope against AI.

Just like “optional” is nearly always the larval stage of “mandatory”, “could” very often means “will”.

Anthony burgess had it right.

Given a choice between good and bad, people
would rather do bad.
