The 2026 FIFA World Cup is taking place in venues across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The trinational hosting arrangement, once sold with the feel-good slogan “United as One,” commenced amid genuine tensions over trade, borders, immigration enforcement, and the looming USMCA review.
The event presents an important and highly visible opportunity to display the pragmatic realism that forms the basis of President Trump's foreign policy: sovereign nations pursuing their own interests from positions of strength and forging practical cooperation without illusions of borderless globalism or one-sided concessions.
President Trump’s America First doctrine has never meant isolation. It means reciprocity, leverage, and results. As Trump himself put it during preparations, “tension’s a good thing.” Tariffs have pressured better behavior on fentanyl trafficking and chronic trade imbalances. Strengthened border policies protect American workers and ensure that legal visitors are welcomed while chaos is kept at bay.
These assertive moves have predictably irked leaders in Ottawa and Mexico City, but they reflect the nature of diplomacy required in a post-pandemic world of supply chain vulnerabilities, cartel violence, and great-power rivalry.
Far from derailing the tournament, these realities have highlighted the durability of mutual self-interest.
The White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026, established under President Trump, has driven coordination on security, infrastructure, and fan management across 16 host cities. “We’re doing it with Mexico and Canada,” Trump emphasized in meetings, underscoring that robust American leadership benefits the entire continent without Washington acting as an ATM.
Reports confirm that the U.S. approach is delivering heightened but smart security; proper vetting for visa holders; and a focus on safety that treats legal participation as a privilege, not an entitlement. As one Task Force update noted, the goal is the “biggest, safest, and most extraordinary soccer tournament in history” ….

For those who don’t know… Andrew Giuliani, son of Mayor Rudy Giuliani, serves as the Executive Director of the White House Task Force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In this role, he functions as the U.S. government’s lead coordinator or “World Cup czar” for the tournament, managing the massive infrastructure, economic, logistical, and security operations required to co-host the event alongside Canada and Mexico.
Democrats will fix that if they can...
Don’t see many Whitey McWhites on that there team.
A few for Diversity’s sake.
The one thing I fear is a Munich-Olympic-like terror attack before the conclusion of this championship…
We have a lot of potential sleeper cells in this country waiting to be awakened.
Let’s hope and pray it doesn’t happen! 🙏 🤲
“Trump’s America First doctrine has never meant isolation. It means reciprocity, leverage, and results.”
That is well said.
They were probably told to stand down by the Democrats so they don’t awaken the people before the midterms.
Absolutely. It what I base my support of Trump on.
There are very few things I hate more than soccer.
The boy has come a long way! (Remembering the swearing-in ceremony for Rudy Giuliani’s second term as NYC mayor.)
Andrew, with his father, has surely suffered so greatly, recently.
It is nice to see this post in which Andrew is serving, and working so hard at, going so well for him. More broadly, it is shaping up to be yet another wonderful achievement for the America-loving Giuliani family.
If Iran has sleeper cells like a lot of people fear, then it seems to me that they would have been activated in the first few weeks of the war -- St. Patrick's Day Parades, MBL opening day. NHL Stanley Cup, NBA Thug-Fest, PGA etc. I doubt there will be a terror attack in the FIFA World Cup given the number of Muslim County teams, players, and fans still in the tournament.
I’ve never followed the sport, but I;m a big fan of what this tournament is achieving.
(I wouldn’t waste ‘hate’ on something as trivial as a sport.)
Are knockout games ending in tie scores, with shootouts deciding the winner?
If so, that’s not great.
Goals can sometimes be too hard to come by in soccer.
That said, YouTube highlights of the best skilled players doing what they do can be very exciting, even if they don’t end up in a goal being scored.
These life-long “football” players from overseas end up being able to do with their feet things that most people could probable never be able to do with their hands!
“The World Cup Is an American Success Story So Far”. I would rather Caitlin Clark play basketball or Nelly Korda play golf.
More NAU crap.
Globalists never miss an opportunity.
This has been a pleasent surprise.
I love thew french guy in this video,

Most likely France will win it all.
Same here.
Not going to happen.
Trump is not the German government.
