A Paris politician blamed Americans and US air conditioning for the record-breaking heatwave in Europe that has resulted in more than 1,300 excess deaths. After US tourists mocked France over the lack of air conditioning across the country amid 104 degree temperatures, Audrey Pulvar, deputy mayor of Paris for international relations, claimed the situation was partly America’s fault.
“Dear American journalists and social media ‘influencers’: for days, some of you have been criticizing and making fun of Paris because the city does not have A/C in every room…OMG, this is so rich!” Pulvar wrote on social media.
“As the second-largest emitter of greenhouse gas emissions in the world, you bear a significant amount of responsibility for global warming and the consequences we, in France, are experiencing. Your cities, which are 90 per cent air conditioned, are not unrelated to this,” she added.

We’re on the FIRST day of this @#$%^&! Heat Wave/Heat Dome for the week and I’ve got the AC set to 74 degrees - because at 95 degrees and 100% HUMIDITY outside, that’s all she can handle, Cap’n!

Me too, I don’t want to brag, it might quit on me LOL, however I am insured. But still, it would be a hassle. Heat wave begins tomorrow.
What are the temps there. In Fahrenheit please. I grew up in Texas during drought years and we did not have air conditioning. I remember temps around 90-110. I don’t remember people dying from the heat.

I will say that televised Golf is by FAR the best sport to nap to. Second would be televised Bowling. ;)

We get hot weather here in the US too, we dont see thousands of people dropping dead..the issue in the EU is their far left BS that because of “Climate change” you cant have an AC so people die

If the French had air conditioning, there wouldn’t have been heat related deaths- the Frenchie is a moron.
On Thursday we start construction upgrades on our front porch. New decking, new railings and pillars - the whole works. This was the week it HAD to happen as our Foster Son was available to help us. (And we need a Referee when Beau and I tackle major projects together, LOL!)
Today we stocked up on Gatorade and...BEER. :)
