Once we’re all done setting our hair on fire and wringing our hands about the latest crop of anti-American, Jew-hating, Communist revolutionaries who’ve just grabbed political power, let’s look at the upside.
Hardly anybody voted for them.
And they give Republicans a golden opportunity — if the party can get its act together, and if conservatives and sensible centrists can be persuaded to get off their couches and actually vote — and vote strategically.
No more sitting on the fence.

“And they give Republicans a golden opportunity — “
Republicans are expert at wasting opportunities. I suspect most Republican politicians want the communists in control because that means more government jobs.
Republicans are like the proverbial crabs in a barrel...
IF there is the mass vote fraud in New York as there is in California THAT is what needs to be cleaned up first before any reasonable progress can be made for conservatives - and we’ve got Republicans fighting the SAVE Act.
She’s absolutely right. In this environment of mixed stridence and apathy, turnout is everything.
We have to do that.
Not gonna happen. Ed Cox is the state GOP chair, worthless. The county GOP chairs are worse - there is no party infrastructure, the committee members are lazy rinos with county jobs.
20+ years ago and prior to that, NY was a state divided between Republicans and Democrats. Democrats usually held the Assembly and Republicans held the Senate.
Governorship also was divided (the last GOP governor was George Pataki)
While NY was “progressive” that division at least kept the most crazy schemes from being implemented, and kept the Democrats sane
That’s ALL gone now. NY, like California, is a one-party state. It’s at the whim of leftist ideologues, and instead of looking outward towards the public, for leadership government now looks inward, toward party hierarchy, and its extreme fringes
You can vote communism in, but you have to shoot your way out.
